Khota Posted January 17, 2018 Posted January 17, 2018 It does not work that way. that does not imply that bottom is better. Top face different conditions and fresh bowlers. Bottom faces tired bowlers. That is why I feel Vijay has cost us this series. If the opening stand was ever 50 runs India would have easily posted 300 everytime.

Assuming your post is not meant as a joke, it could happen because the bottom 5 now playing in top 5 would score relatively much less than what they would in their regular positions.
