Everyone is struggling, fighting to survive and yet he is scoring freely. In a series where no one has scored a 100 yet, that inning of 153 at 70+ SR was just masterclass. This is one of the best performances I have ever seen in a difficult series.

 

He has entered the leagues of SRT, Lara, Dravid with this performance.

Looking at Rahane's short innings so far, he could have easily been the difference between India falling short in T1 and winning it.   Or even T2.  Let's not forget that Kohli didn't do much in his first few innings in this series either.

I would be pissed if the game is called off after Kohli scores a half century or immediately after getting out. That would show that Kohli doesn't give a damn except himself.

Yeah, he is going ahead on all aspects. Scoring reaally big on flat pitches, going ahead of everyone on difficult one.

more likely to be an frustrated dressing room than tense.  They surely know how the scoreline could very easily have been historically different if not for the missed opportunities.

Kohli is not the next Sachin/Lara/Dravid etc.  He's the next Ponting.  Combative, loves a contest, and ruthless when it comes to clinically seizing the initiative and seeing it through.  That's if you don't get him out early.  Very Ponting-esque.
