Dada's Army Posted January 27, 2018 Posted January 27, 2018 You're right Shaw does not have the explosive power. But look at Rahane- he has had a couple of great IPL seasons as an opener despite this same issue, by being a good timer. And Shaw is a very good timer of the ball.

Average of 25 is actually good with SR of 150. Its a good combo. We do not even know whether Prithvi can have such combo of average and SR. Moreover apart from being worthy as specialist batsman he also fills keeper role, saving one spot.
