I think a lot of posters here are confusing the #4 position.  You need someone who can rotated the strike at that position and hit the odd boundary. You don't need a #4 to come and go ballistics from ball one especially in the middle overs.  If the #4 is coming in the 40 over ok yeah then, you'd need to accelerate then but then you'd prolly send in power hitters if you have that many wickets left

Kohli needs to make a choice. If he so wants Rahane to play ODIs he needs to drop dhoni and bring some power hitter who can replace Jadhav. Pant should replace Dhoni. We cannot afford two consolidators and a semi attacking batsman in the middle order.

Rahane always has a respectable s/r when he starts off. Nothing new. It's after some time where he really struggles and just sucks up the momentum.

Little bit, cant hit big though but can score few. But batting in India is way different than SA.

Rohit is almost reaching single digit average in SA... he is at 13 avg in 9 games so far.
