Kohli or Rohit or Dhawan any of them if they start playing at 4 and 5 will see their average SR drop...

Though today Panday flopped, poor guy got into the rut and could not hit out. Since it is the 1st time he is playing in SA we need to be patient with these youngsters.

Pandey can only fit in this t20 team if Kohli isn’t available and he is batting at 3,

thats the only time I can see bim suceed and batting at a higher rate and then can actually up his strike rate. Otherwise, we are better od playing iyer ahead od him who is a much better t20 player than him.

 

 

Ideally, Hooda, Pant, Rahul or Aggarwal should be there in the team. They won’t deliver right away in t20s, but at least after few failures they will find some sort of consistency as they are sure to have a higher strike rate than the ones playing currently.

 

Yout put a chase of 180, and our team will struggle even if Kohli plays a blinder. Need Pant, Rahul,  Hooda or Aggarwal in the line up right about now. Let them struggle but eventually few of them will will be ready for the 2020 world cup in 2020.

Now i did not watch match . Only saw comms here etc

 

but it seems icf is obsessed with players going bonkers from about 10 overs to go . In the end put up massive score and won game ease

 

eveey chance if players gone nuts could have collapsed and been say 175 all out and sa chase and win . We do need to play percantages at times and be smart not just blitz frenzy which could end up with the rocket crashing

I was actually gking to put in a sentence to exclude dhoni from my point . Lol as he just sucks period 

 

on pandey first game for a while . Understandable not wanting a duck and low score and had some thoughts on not losing wicket . Normal ? That’s why players need half decent run to build confidence and show true worth or if genuinely suck 

 

Hardick pandey had great s/r so no idea why op put him in title 

 

considering dhoni has place for life you would think would up it . But now he simply does not have other grears and is not playing percentages . Simply can’t smoke it now as will get out .

Kohli, the great player that he is, should still bat in the top 3 in T20s.

 

Why are be so obstinate regarding not playing high SR batters  !

 

Why is Rahul warming the bench  ?

It’s only really dhoni as it’s not his mindset he simply does not have it anymore

Pandey has a SR of 123 in T20Is  and  a SR of 120 in the IPL.

 

A batter with such low SR is not an ideal pick for T20Is, and especially so if he bats below 4.

 

And that is my point.

 

He may play a good innings on a good day but we can't expect him to be consistently good.

 

We need to find high SR batters.
