If we had this type of pitch, Ashwin would have picked up a 10-fer.  Regardless of toss.  He could have a 5-fer in T2, its only dropped catches that stopped him.

Our batting prevented us from winning the series, bowlers did very well, and infact better than SA - if you put aside the 1st innings of the 1st test.

Ashwin got a similar pitch in Centurian and he was wicketless in second innings. yes, our batting struggled but because pitches they got were far worse for batting.  This pitch barely had anything for pacers. And that Ist innings of Ist virtually decided the fate of the series.

India should have at least drawn the series, aussies showing how its done. Preparation, picking best players and applying themselves.

Indians tend to pick friends over worthy ones(real  friends)

What a bowling lineup Aus has with Starc, Hazelwood & Cummins. All can be express and lethal. India will fold like a cheap paperback when they are down under to this pace battery. :giggle:

The same can be done to Aus ,we are not mug with the ball either not anymore but a big "But"we need to make some wise choices(not rocket science),grab our chances in slips and get in Saini,he is a special talent..mark the lines

Saffers are mentally destroyed after the beatings in the recent ODI and T20 series and have resigned themselves to their fate of losing. Aussies are reaping the benefits of playing a softened up side.

Hahaha. They won the test series. Limited overs is not as important

We are going to win this series 2-0 we have the best pace bowling line up in the world but our batting relies on Smith and that's all.

If we can find a few more to help out Smith we will smash them not very impressed by SA at all and they always struggle against us.

Depends, for purists, Tests is pinnacle but for mIllions of Asian armchair fans (who finance cricket) ODIs are king...that’s why for for example Dhoni quit Tests but not ODIs

For India cricket revenues it is probably more important to be at top in ODIs than Tests.
