Even at that time, most here on ICF were shocked Rahul was not picked in the starting XI. And Rahul's last T20 innings prior to that was a century against west indies in 40 odd balls. At that point Rahul was averaging around 50 with SR around 150 in about 10 games. T20 slots were not full at all. Except Virat and to an extent Rohit, none of other batsmen were great T20 batsmen. That included Dhawan, Pandey, Iyer, Dhoni and Jadhav. India is the least powerful T20 batting unit compared to West Indies, Australia and England. May be South Africa too. UrmiSinhaRay 1

If rahul comes at #4 or belwo , whole world will say they are misusing Rahul and again as he failed as #4 bat in ODIs , we cant expect him to be given #4 slot in T20s. We was doing well to some extent and got out. So, let us not put him on a high pedestal and go gaga over him.... Dhoni..... seriouly.... he will never loose like that for his team in such a chase.
