Seems to go under the radar with indian fans but he is probably right up there in the list of best odi batsman of current era. By the time he retires, I'm expecting him to be on par with MSD, Bevan, Gilly etc batsmen.

He's one of my favorite players these days. Doesn't have any weaknesses. His pressure game also seems to have improved now.

He seems to have this rare combo of absolute power while timing it sweetly.. unlike smashing/bludgeoning type

I still think he is susceptible against googly, but who isn't. Other than that, he is complete package, I have hardly seen him hurried by any pacer. 

 

A very bold thing to say, but he somewhat reminds me of de veillers.

every batsman has a weakness.. however, butler / the whole england team has shed pussilanimity over the last 2/3 years and go about like its BAU even if they keep losing wickets.. the results are there for everyone to see

Haha! Btw Mariyam your mumbai's up-end restaurant are way too overpriced.

 

My sister went to one of them with her other two friends and waiter bombed a 15 K bill on them. And restaurant wasn't even that pristine.

My first impression of him was at the world cup game he played against (Aus/PK?) Where he single handedly won a match chasing... knew he was going to reach great heights.

How many fifties Dhoni has in T20s in 30 balls. My best guess is zero and I don't think this guy has any fifty which took in more than 30 balls.Dhoni is one of the worst T20 players and this guy is the best so there is no comparison.

Kp rated him very highly back in 2014.
