Look at the mindset of our batsman they are looking to survive all the time. They should look to score as well they don't have it in them Lani the batting is a collection of individuals rather than a team.

It's very difficult to bat in these conditions. There's just no way around it and they only played just one practice match.

They can't do that every time and definitely not in sunny conditions with wrong bowling combination and 2 mainstays missing. They did hand over the 1st test to us but Dhawan with his catching chewtiyapa and then batsmen screwed us over. There is no defence for these batsmen and Rahul needs to face the music just like Vijay, Dhawan, Che, Rahane and Karthik.

But how did England bowlers manage to do it 4 times in a row? Our bowlers are just not good at it. Even they look surprised when they get wickets and that's how inconsistent they have been with their line and lengths.

All specialist batsmen and 3 of 4 specialist bowlers underperformed. We have only two stand out performers so far - Pandya and Shami

Indra :eviltongue:, we make temples for him, we worship him, we name kids after him....phir bhi England ka side le rahe hai.

Fortune (God’s blessings) are with the brave who show a fight. This team doesn’t deserve help from the heavens.

Who are the culprits here, batsmen or bowlers?

Depends on the question.

If it is asking Rahul's calibre - Bowlers are culprit

If it is not about Rahul - than every batsman except him is the culprit

The conditions are in bowlers favour though and when you travel overseas adapting for batsmen is a touch more difficult, cos all it takes is one mistake while bowlers get time to get their line and length right. Our bowlers never looked like taking wickets the whole day, you expect better than that. So am not sure of bowlers have done any better than batsmen.

Cold, overcast, and windy: tough conditions for majority of non-english batsmen.

Match could have been bit more competitive had India picked an additional fast bowler and made better use of new ball.

This is equivalent of Kolkata dust bowl in 30C+ for visiting teams.
