Wkt coming in next 2 overs :om:

I need to predict more. Only if pandya appealed against Barstow ,England would have been 5 down

Their batsmen are worse than ours. No doubt.

No that is not the case, these are some tough batting conditions. Curran chancy innings is the difference between two teams. Don't write off this Indian team so easily, they have lot of fight.

Different conditions. Those were balanced ones for bar and ball. Logic is simple Under crazy swinging conditions, bowlers from both team need to outbowl each other. More responsibility on bowlers. Batsmen is eventually depending on luck not to get Jaffa's.

No they weren't. Balance was tilted towards ball almost the entire match. FGS SA batsmen were running away scared and there were talks about calling off that match. The pitch was subsequently rated poor by ICC and narrowly escaped a 1 year ban.

Similar argument can be made along the lines that batsmen hold the key in low scoring matches while bowlers are the difference on pattas.

I am struggling to think of instances where teams came back to win tests after getting bowled out for 100 odd in 1st innings. I can only recall innings defeats, hammerings and hardly fought draws courtesy heroic stonewalling.

I'm not following Indian test cricket from now onwards. Not angry at the team, I know it's a difficult format and everyone makes mistakes but following tests needs lots of patience as a fan and overseas tests gives that slow painful feeling.

Why invest time in something that stresses you out?

Our World class fast bowlers just need good total and we can win some test matches.

This is not ODI. We are not defending 107. They should be able to bowl world class regardless of first innings score of their own team. Otherwise how are they world class lol.

So only the pacers are picking up wkts and spinners ain't gonna make much of an inroad. Ridiculous really that we went with 2 spinners here ,what was the TM thinking!

Imagine had we showed some guts y'day and ended the day with only 5 wickets down. Beautiful batting conditions now.

Are you serious, I can assure yesterday any team would be all out.Anderson was simply unplayable.

With little bit of preparation and few more practice sessions we could have actually dominated this test series.

What practice sessions? this is is second test how much more practice do you need.

I am dead serious. We showed zero discipline y'day...even Kohli went back to his 2014 methods. No excuse for getting all out under 35 overs no matter how dire the conditions.

You make it sound like India has to defend 107. We are still into the match if we restrict them around 150 which is not impossible. Bowlers need to bowl without giving too many loose deliveries and keep building the pressure.

That’s why we have 3 formats so fans can follow the ones they prefer!

Following Ind’s tests overseas esp in SENA is usually a painful experience. It can mainly be about who bats and bowls well rather than winning .... And mistakes made in this format can be unforgiving

1st innings lead is vital for us in SENA countries. 150 isn't enough luxury considering conditions have eased out now. Bowlers and captain are under serious pressure because they know once the lead crosses 50 we are done and dusted. That is why they are trying too hard, making extra effort to bowl unplayable balls. This happens to every team, even to the greatest bowlers.
