But the challenge is do we have them. Pandya was not the answer . It should have been 4 Pacers + bowling all rounder which is pandya/ashwin/jadeja/Bhuvi based on conditions . England have 6 bowlers and all their players can bat barring Anderson and their top order.. I think this team in india would be thrashed without cook. As for us, it's a struggle to find the balance with insipid captaincy and horrible luck with toss. Bhuvi would have been the ideal foil. Sadly we realize it now. The conditions here are vastly different to south Africa. So I hope we have different selection yard sticks for different series. Trust umesh would be a better fit there than shami.
