Dhoni must play in 2019 World Cup – Robin Singh

Robin Singh got his chance when he was over the hill. He was still athletic and a good fielder though but rest of his abilities declined. I think he sees a lot of similarities to MSD

Not too sure about Dhoni - he is not as bad in ODI as he is in t20, so yeah it cant be that bad. He might do a decent job with all his experience.

Looking at the link, it says Independence cup? No thanks. 90s cricketers' lives mostly revolved around playing Pakistan and it's kind of pathetic. How many Test matches did he play? Any match winning performances there?

he has been worse in ODIs than T20s in last one year

To be honest while our team was mediocre in the 90's and Singh was not an all rounder but he was decent for us played a crucual innings against Zimbabwe to tie the game in South Africa in 97 which we could have lost.Also took one or two 5fers or played handy innings to win us few games.

his ground fielding was worth about 20 runs too - in an era where many fielders apart from azhar and ajay jadeja were ordinary. on the whole, a decent utility cricketer who played mostly because of the lack of lower order hitters.
