Cant complain,Azam's style of play suits test cricket more

But ,the attack only had two high quality pacers ie Rabada,Steyn who just returns from a long injury lay off ,but cant take anything away from some shots that he played ,just oozed class

@Trichromatic this innings was good but how is this better than Aggarwal’s knock yesterday?

 

A young rookie. Facing an excellent line up, Facing be best off spinner in the world at the moment bowling him a boring negative line, peppered with shot balls, series at stake, his place in the team at stake etc etc and still playing a chanceless and responsible knock.

 

How does it measure against a counter attacking All is lost type scenario?

 

I am not putting down Barber Hajaam’s knock as it had quality stroke play, but I would put Aggarwal’s knock on par even though different style and context.

Good innings and credit where it’s due. But meh. We see these kind of innings time to time in South Africa. Pandya played a similar knock too. The thing is it gets easier to play one ball gets old in South Africa and one gets good value for ones shots. Amazing is a knock when similarly played when team is 10/3 and then counter punching a good bowling line up. Abd played it against us. Now that is a special innings.

Very good knock, unlike Pandya this guy is a proper batsman so his team can expect him to reproduce this again.

Pandya's batting is crap compared to Babar. Babar is a proper batsman. Pandya is hit or miss.
