Isn't Kane Williamson bit overhyped?

Choked big time today. People keep talking about rayudu but what about this guy? His strike rate of 70s is pretty poor in current era.

We don't talk about this guy coz he doesn't play for India.. though this match he did play to our favor

It's not one or two match. He has done it many time. His strike rate of 70s against top sides or in difficult condition is unacceptable in today's era.

Kane is very limited as a test batsman ,a big problem he has is that he doesn't have that counter attacking ability which the other top batsmen possess .

He is a super batsmen against spin but not that good against genuine pace and on bouncy wkts ,this is the reason why he would do well in SC and English conditions due to lack of pace on the wkt but struggle badly on Australian, saf ,windies type of wkts.

super batsman against spin? let's see what he does in indian conditions. Ash and jaddu are not at peak now else both would have troubled him alot.

Babar Azam performed better than Williamson against these Aussie attack. He is now top 3 with Kohli & Smith.

the same Kane who averaged hugely in his  previous AUS  tour is averaging badly in the on going  series. this happens to every quality player in this game of high uncertainties. So every conclusion based on the current scenario is inaccurate

Ash and jaddu ,he can handle ,its the indian Pacers who'd own them .

Ashwin and jadeja need turners to run through sides, not rank turners but turners nonetheless else they'll be effective and average around 28-30

I would say the same about Joe Root as well

While people claim fab 4, I'd place Smith and Kohli two notches above Kane and Joe

Root atleast has scored fifties almost everywhere at decent avg also he plays in england conditions mostly so i will surely place him ahead of kane in tests.

Let him win a single test abroad or give a dominating performance where he scores at least 2 centuries in a series overseas ....right now he is below kushal Parera.

Didnt Kohli's England performance result in loses too? And the wins he had lately all had other performances from other team members. Difficult for one player to win matches on his own particularly if their bowling sucks

There is a difference between scoring runs in difficult situation like Kohli did in eng and sa where almost all other batsmens unable to score even 50 and than there is number padding which gobar Azam did when 3 players before him has already scored 100. A Kohli, Amla and Rohit all had scored 150 and more in odis but impact wise we know the impact of a Kohli or Rohit scoring vs amla scoring same run.
