And it is not my problem if you assumed current situation as Ind’s policy. What is next turn LoC into IB?

LOC is IB for all intents and purposes.  And will remain as such.

Posted (edited)

Possible Next Steps

  • Declare serious/emergency/national security situation at LoC (no meddling by mahagathbandhan)
  • Take folks from around the LoC (and IB if required) areas to a safe location
  • Light up the LoC
  • Use "war like situation" to clean up Kashmir Valley
  • If Pak violates IB, break its back there too
  • Move aircraft carrier, subs or whatever to the Arabian Sea
  • Expedite weapon purchases (including Rafale)

If Pak backs off, consider talks with caution

Look at the picture next to his posts.  We have had this one toyger repeatedly pose as Indian, only to be outed repeatedly.

Why are you guys commenting like fools? A muslim will never debase another Muslim masquerading as a Hindu. Its haram and I would have never done so if I were to be a Muslim. Have some common sense at least

Miscalculations from both ends. Pak did not see it coming that India would ever dare to enter their territory.

India did not expect this almost full scale like retaliation from Pakistan.

We should have just gone full postal rather than these “lessons” and warnings.

While Ind wants to teach lessons, no one considers it a teacher or wants to learn from it

If Pakistanis are confused between their original heritage, Mughals,Arabs as defenders of Islam etc etc.

We are stuck between what we want to be, the peace loving land of Buddha,Gandhi who shows the other cheek when one cheek is slapped or the land of Kurukshetra and Ramayan where violence was used to end evil once and for all as the last resort.

In Mahabharata, we are advised to fight for our rights .... so it is either misinterpretation of it or being used to hide behind it. Ind is mainly an underachiever that tries to blow its own horn and gets found out more often than not .... Hardly seen anyone mention countries from subcon as brave

No proof though

It will be released at a later date just like the surgical strikes. Besides, why do you doubt your IAF. A lot of this casualty numbers will be heard on enemy wires and chatter. Pak would have cordoned these areas from media to enter and give proof. Any acceptance of Pak will be solid proof of its terrorist harboring plans and USA nearby will not like it. They will deny it forever. India can provide proof, they have gone with 1000 kg explosives, not a movie camera.

https://www.indiatoday.in/india/story/kambampati-nachiketa-kargil-war-india-pakistan-indian-pilot-arrested-1466400-2019-02-27

This happened in 1999 Kargil war when they captured a pilot. After a lot of international pressure and from Indian govt, he was released. The same should happen now. Otherwise, it will be a war declaration and India will have to ram it's position.

I wish India pushes a limited war option with IAF and Navy as well. WIth the strikes, much of the advantage is gained with the change in policy now. It has to show its will a bit further. I don't think the Pak retaliation was unexpected. India was prepared and that shows how they brought a F16 down. This is a war situation there will be gains and losses. Modi should not listen to peaceniks who also caused the Kandahar surrender last time. Let them call him warmonger, we have enough international support this time (all those Modi tours will pay off!) and let the liberals keep mouthing off, let Asha screw Aman this time .

we get in to Pak territory, chest thump on the initiative .... and next we think about discussing, along with asking for international support, for the pilot's return

would never allow that (probably nor will Modi) .... rather destroy a few posts on LoC, along with capturing Pak soldiers, until the pilot is returned (in an exchange) :hitler:

@DHONI_FANN I wouldn't generalize the entire community though I agree a significant chunk of them have zero loyalty, in fact blinding hatred towards the country. But there are assholes in every community maybe with less %, majority pro-Pak librandus are Hindus btw. This is the time to be united, let traitors be taken care of after this situation is under control. Indian armed forces don't have a religion, we must back them as Indians.

Rational thought.

The Phulvama attack was primarily due to intelligence failure despite adding in all other factors. Counter intelligence have thwarted many such plans before.

Second it was due to the locals who have been brainwashed and made into fundamentalists.

Sure, the bigger picture is the  ISI, Pak army and other terror outfits.

However, the first steps should  have been to fix the Kashmir problem by fixing 35a and 370  while also doing some house cleaning.

The preemptive strike on the JEM camps looks very glamorous and should have still been undertaken however  it that should have been complimentary to the above mentioned house cleaning policy.

Now if the JEM camps have been destroyed there should have been adequate checks in place to tackle Pakistan’s retaliation. This should have been countered with offensive measures rather than defensive ones.

I am just a layman and I do not fully understand either political administration, international diplomacy nor war/ defense strategy.

This is just based on my understanding of what has transpired so far.

Looks like the plan was a quick fix to pacify the public for the dastardly attack without any long term thought. Hopefully I am wrong.

I still feel Modi is better than most PMs we have had before and best when it comes to Pak policy from a diplomacy perspective.

However is he the “one” time will tell.

Anyways Things might totally change in the next few days because I would think things are being handled by people way smarter and have a larger vision than an average joe like me.

So let us hope things will turn out great and Modi’s leadership in this time doesn’t let us down.

How about the burn we are feeling? They have proof of 1 of our soldier being caught and we have none. Its hurting me...I want action. Dont care if Modi stays in power or not.

and when Pak does the same, you oppose Ind taking action at least on LoC, which is not even an international border

can you show me where i have done that ?

Don’t understand why folks are talking stuff like it will hurt both sides and so on? Everyone knows the ugly face of war

But wars are still fought. If this issue with Pak is eventually going to be resolved through war, I would prefer Ind take the opportunity to put a dent into Pak

If you look at Ind (or subcon), people keep their houses clean while garbaging the immediate environment. Similarly, one gen seeks to live comfortably while passing the issue to the next and so on. At some point, some gen has to put its hand up to make the change

Be sane. Take a step back and engage in a dialogue. Any escalation will hurt both sides.

Yes, but, it'll hurt Pakistanis more. Public opinion is with Modi and they are fed I p with this 30 years of proxy war with insurgency and terrorism from Pakistanistan and want an end of it. Modi will not escalate without backing of armed forces and publuc opinion. Hell with libtard mombatti peaceniks, the reason for which India is suffering from a tiny Nation of porky stan.

IIRC, Ind has the ability to engage in war for 5-6 weeks (w/o replenishments).   Imagine the capability of Pak. How long can it survive? By taking peace and backing down, we are only trying to bail out Pak in a way
