I6MTW Posted June 4, 2019 Posted June 4, 2019 No Eid special for AFG. Feel sorry for them. Oh well, they can only learn from this. Hopefully in a 5-10 years they reach to the position of Prime SL, PAK, or to where BAN is now. They are improving at a rapid rate.

It would be interesting to see ICC doing a case study on what steps should they have taken to improve cricket quality of BD faster and what are the right steps they have taken to get AFG where they are at such a short time. This will be important for future emerging nations like Nepal. If you ask me, they screwed up with ire by giving them test status so late (when they were past their prime) - allowed England to poach players from them.

Ireland would've been a top test nation if they had all or most of their Irish players playing for them instead of England. Now, Ireland has regressed. Nepal seems to be promising. Though, I see it will take more than a decade for them to reach where AFG is now. Zero_Unit 1
