If we get a slow Pitch like this again we shud play jadeja ahead of Kuldeep

With summers now in England its looks like pitches have started to dry up.....we saw in 2 consecutive games dry and slow pitches - IND-Afg and Eng-SL where ball turned . With games been played...some wear and tear will also happen on pitches now . Its remains to be seen is it just those 2 pitches that behaved like that or others will start to do same.

On Such slow pitches kuldeep tend to struggle coz his pace whereas jadeja becomes lethal due to his pace and he has added bonus of batting n fielding . So If we find such pitch again we shud prefer jadeja over kuldeep

Before we question Kuldeep's spot let us take a hard look at Shankar first.

Started well ....threw his wkt at wrong time but showed he can bat . Also m talking about bowler ur talking about a batsman

Quite difficult to know before a ball is bowled how the pitch will behave. Have to stick with Kuldeep until he loses form.

yes it is difficult but TM have to keep an eye on other games and see if it is happening in other games to not .

IMO good point by the OP- if the pitches indeed get slower.

Halfway in the Afghanistan game I was thinking that maybe Jadeja could have done better on a low and slow.

But replacing Kuldeep would be a tough call- maybe Shankar or Jadhav?

Shankar jadhav are batsman who cud bowl and jadeja is a bowler who cud bat so he wud and shud only come in place of a bowler

I am not convinced Shankar can bat and his Captain does not think he can bowl. Houston we have a problem.

Shankar can bat but he has this habit of throwing away his wicket. All he needs is one 70-80 runs innings and he is all set.

It is still June, not even August. Rosebowl pitch used to be one of the fastest in England.

WC is not the right place for him to experiment.

It's not like he is in great form. He has been out of form recently except one good game.

Well then same should logic should be applicable for Rahul who in ODIs have opened only a handful times or pant who's place in 15 should be questioned based on his ODI stats. My point is few of our players have limited experience and they will make mistakes.

Kuldeep did his bit today, he was hard to get away. But yeah whenever wristys don't pick a we feel shortchanged, such has been standards set.
