Enough is enough - Shankar/Jadhav/Thala are rubbish

Worst, most inelegant Indian Middle order I have ever watched. Fluency and batting were our historical strength and we're treated with this soul crushing rubbish day in and day out. Once again ineptitude of the middle order puts unnecessary pressure on Kohli, can't even have a 80 Sr partner to bat with. Just so sickening. Can predict the script before the match.

Shankar,Jadhav & Dhoni have been exposed in last two matches.

 

Pant, Karthik, Jadeja will certainly do better than this trio

Been saying it for long.Without pant we have a one dimensional,boring,fragile middle order.With pant its still fragile,but neither one dimensional with a left hander,nor boring with the explosiveness and fear factor he brings.

We are overdependant on pandya for power hitting.Problem is teams have figured out how to bowl to pandya -they won't give him spin,and pacers will bowl continously outside off where he can only take singles or occasional boundary.His six hitting range onside and straight will be avoided.

Kedar Jadhav and Vijay Shankar are in the team because they offer bowling option too. Funnily enough I don't see them bowling much or any. Shankar only got to bowl because bhuvaneshwar got injured. Might as well take a risk and go with Pant for Shankar and DK for K Jadhav.

If shankar and jadhav are never going to bowl, then it would be sensible to draft both DK and Pant to strengthen the batting.

DK is good at rotating the strike - busy player. We need someone like that in our tuk tuk middle order

You'll see an answer for that pretty soon. If Brat doesn't bowl them in the 3 group games, there's literally 0 chance he'll try them in a KO & as many have said if these 2 don't actually bowl then why the eff are they ahead of Pant or even DK

Yes worst middle order in WC and hopeless team. 5 Fluke wins lucky for India NZ match got washed out else they would have thrashed us and with our weak mentality we couldn't have recovered then on. Reality is we should forfeit next 3 games and return home. None of us want to win World Cup by Fluke without dropping a game.

Jhadav is ok replace Shankar with DK or Pant. Shankar can come back after WC he is a good young player - but now its important to get DK or Pant in.

Thala will never be removed and will play the 2023 WC as well. So, let's accept it and move on. This leaves Jadhav and Shankar. Even if it's not popular, I believe Jadhav has done okay in the limited chances he got to bat. Today was his first real failure with the bat. Shankar on the other hand needs to go - Jadhav is a sufficient 6th bowler option to bowl 3-4 overs. I'd like to see Pant brought in and open against SL and Bang. KLR can bolster our failing middle order at 4.
