You have seen how hard chasing was even in league and the super confident england played the price of trying to chase in world cups even against pakistan and Sri lanls I agree, chasing is not advised. But, it is expected to be rainy and overcast that day. Plus we saw what happened at the warm-ups. Indian top order struggles against NZ Seamers(especially Boult). What if we are bundled out for 200 or less? If we chase against NZ, we have a good chance of burning out NZ for 200-250 max. Other than Williamson no one is a threat. Indian Bowling can trouble the NZ batsmen. We can chase what ever target under 250 under pressure, even if it is till the last overs . That way we are professional. For the final, if we reach it, I would definitely advise Ind to bat first against Eng/Aus.
Adi BB Posted July 7, 2019 Posted July 7, 2019 India vs England finals would be a blockbuster . England's confidence and arrogance would be sky high ,India would be itching to get a revenge ! cricketfan28 1

If early wickets fall get dhoni in at 4 and rebuild. Get to 250+ and we can win with our bowling. Have to play one of kulcha and 4 pacers at the minimum i feel.
Vilander Posted July 8, 2019 Posted July 8, 2019 Aus will beat England. Ind will beat NZ. Ind will beat Aus for the cup and Kohli will pose with the cup. This is happening folks.

South Africa was a top team then. SL/Pak are not. Also, India and Australia have done better than England this WC. England was #1 team but lost to low ranked SL and Pak. In 2011, Pak SL were top two teams in group A, SA and India in group B. This time there's only one group and top two teams are Aus and India. Frustrated 1
TNAmarkFromIndia Posted July 8, 2019 Posted July 8, 2019 Imagine if it ends up becoming a rematch of the 2015 World Cup final: Australia vs New Zealand. Zero_Unit 1
mishra Posted July 8, 2019 Posted July 8, 2019 Match between England and Australia will be dress rehearsal for upcoming Ashes. Aussies would desperately want to have a go at English bats so that they can carry the positivity into Ashes. England is playing some fabulous cricket. They have no reason to believe that Aussies can beat them apart from history in ICC tournaments. So match will be decided in first 20 overs when English come to bat.
Zero_Unit Posted July 8, 2019 Posted July 8, 2019 I have a feeling it might be IND v AUS final. AUS seems charge up after the SA loss

ShoonyaSifar Posted July 8, 2019 Posted July 8, 2019 Like all previous WCs showed, from semis onwards any result is possible. No team IMO is an outright favourite, each have issues which other teams can exploit in such high pressure games. OTOH each have got at least 2 match winners each with bat and ball who on their day can win such games single handily. Weather permitting, all I hope for is competitive knock out matches and not boring one sided affairs.
