kosingh
Guy is one ungrateful POS. The ICC, the PCB and the game of cricket in general has been very kind to him. nevada 1 Link to comment
Vijy
he was not a good test bowler pre-spot fixing, although he was improving. after coming back, he has been steady but not much more. it's not a big loss if he retires. he offers more value in LOIs. Link to comment
kirkutfan
He is retiring Afridi style. Link to comment

kushagra29
When you are in a good rhythm, you shouldn't do this. Not expected this. Its so early Amir. You have not even crossed 30 yet Link to comment

They should move on without him for LOIs also. Allowing him to pick only the shorter, lucrative formats is unfair to other bowlers who don't have such luxury. While it is true that his bowling sucks on flat, lifeless wickets, he could still be useful on the swinging pitches of England or South Africa or Newzealand. He should keep himself available for whatever format his team needs him in. Whether to pick him for tests or not should be the selectors' choice, not his. Shaz1 1 Link to comment
kubrickian
Sad because he is one of the best bowlers I love to watch when he is on song, despite him being a Pakistani. In white ball cricket, he will mostly just be cannon fodder on the patta wickets. But hey, its his decision and its upto PCB and Pak fans to deal with. Link to comment
Abdul_
Amir had a good test career but Amir really screwed Pakistan over by retiring from tests after he had the best tournament in his life. That defo was a confidence booster for him to perform better in tests but he wastes it by retiring. RIP (Retire in Peace) Link to comment

TheWall
Maybe strict rules regarding match fixing has left him no choice but retire from playing test match.... Link to comment
Norman
It's his decision and a good one IMO. He has been ineffective in tests (barring a few in England) since his comeback. Good that he acknowledged this and is retiring unlike a few shameless leeches that are giving us hemorrhages. Link to comment
nevada
Just read a report that Aamir is planning to settle down in England with his British born wife and has bought or is in the process of buying a home there Besides county cricket, he is supposedly eyeing a spot in the United Nations side also!
