Very uninspired selections. What is the use of Shardul.  no Avesh, Prasidh, Nathu. Is there any Twitter handle of any selector? They have forgotten Nathu Singh completely. Wanted to tweet about him. There is Prithviraj Yarra too.

They perhaps have no clue about domestic players, they pick few known mediocre guys randomly and repeat the cycle year after year,no vision at all

It is amazing how this bunch of selectors have managed to ignore Avesh, Prasidh and Nathu.

Dube has done well every where.......domestic , India-A in WI and now here to. HE failed only in RCB.....obv reason knwn to everyone

what about other pacers who are lot better than him in domestic in last few years who are not getting chance where as this guy on the  back of his ipl exploit and csk connection getting chances. BTW why do we need bhuvi replacement we should look for bumrah and shami backup not bhuvi backup whose record is pretty avg in loi.

but according to @putrevus   there is no players  in domestic and what kohli do. Where as it's clear that there are so  many players who performed excellentely when they moved out of RCB. Not just young one old horse like watson as well.

Great to see so many 20-21 year olds in the India A team - Gill is 19, Rituraj 22, Anmolpreet 21, Ishant Kishan is 21,  Khaleel is 21, Ricky Bhi (22),

Ishan Porel (20) and Washington Sundar (20) will be there for 4th and 5th matches. Great set of youngsters being given experience.

 

Not one 30+ player in the A squad. Axar is 25,  Nitish Rana (25), Tushar Deshpande (24), Dube is 26, Deepak Chahar is 27, Krunal 28, Manish Pandey 29

 

Average age of the squad is around 24, which is exactly how the A squad should be, some experience and some rookies getting exposure to the higher levels.

 

Having guys like Avesh and Prasidh would have been good, but they are also giving chances to Ishan Porel and Tushar Deshpande,

Good choice of batsmen and all-rounders.

 

Amazed to see just 1 young wrist-spinner in the 2 teams. This is the type of spinner doing well in ODIs these days.  Where are Markande and Gopal ?

 

Disappointing choice of pace bowlers, especially in the 1st team. Where are Avesh, Prasidh and Nathu ?  Looking forward to seeing Deshpande bowl though.  And Porel maybe a decent choice.

21 over game today because of rain. Another flat pitch with nothing for the fast bowlers.

 

Shardul bowled a poor 1st over. Lucky not to be smashed around. He is jogging in and trundling in early 130's. No intensity whatsoever. 

 

Khaleel bowling at 135-139kph.

You can't have worse time to hold these games. Lack of intensity is obvious. There must be  90-95% humidity.

That can bring a healthy competition between the two,if both give performances they can make things easier for this one dimensional team
