vvvslaxman Posted October 4, 2019 Posted October 4, 2019 Looking at the woeful load sharing by Indian seamers, it was all up to Ashwin and Jadeja to get the 10 wickets with no break. Some of these guys know Indian conditions inside out. This is a flat wicket. They made the most of it. I can't help wondering what a 5th bowilng option could have done here.

vvvslaxman Posted October 4, 2019 Author Posted October 4, 2019 No seamer. Kuldeep would have been a better bet. Darting doesn't work here. Slower balls turn better. Jadeja was averaging 94 kph. Ashwin 87 kph. Kuldeep would have averaged around 80 kph. Perfect speed. tweaker, Mosher and nevada 3
Ankit_sharma03 Posted October 4, 2019 Posted October 4, 2019 Even kuldeep wud have struggled, he always had on such pitches which are slow

aditya19 Posted October 4, 2019 Posted October 4, 2019 Looking at our squad we miss part time spinners.. evn england manage some useful overs from root.

putrevus Posted October 4, 2019 Posted October 4, 2019 How did Vihari bowl? I never saw his bowling. They do need a fifth bowling option for this team who could take wickets especially if wickets for this series are flat.We do miss guys like Sachin or Sehwag.Sachin could bowl anything.

Infact their are very batsman in line for Indian team who can bowl a bit . Even ganguly on some pitches was very handy

Battings skills are very high in terms of attacking game which is why they dont leave part timers now and teams opt for player who can bowl 80% quota every day rather being part timers

Guys like Gayle and Russell breakdown at the drop of a hat every couple of months for a reason. This takes a toll on bowling.

Not only one dimensional players when it comes to cricketing skills but also overall adaptability. Rahane and Pujara suck at LOI’s. Ishant,Ashwin,Umesh LOI career is done. Dhawan is good on odi and sucks in the other 2 formats. Rahul is good in T20 but sucks in the other 2 formats. Bhuvi is good in tests and t20 but sucks in ODIs etc etc
Moochad Posted October 4, 2019 Posted October 4, 2019 I don't think so. I think Umesh should've played over Ishant based on his home record. Shami also seemed to pick up a bit of a niggle during the innings. Nothing agaisnt IShant, but he hasn't proven his ability at home yet.
maniac Posted October 4, 2019 Posted October 4, 2019 It was a case of over confidence. We thought our spin twins would run through SA and they would just roll over and give up
