Yeah. It will boost up the batting too. Deepak can bat well. MS made him bat 6 in an IPL game and didn't look like he was a tailender.

In todays game when every bowler was going for Runs he gave 7 runs and took 6 wkts.......this is phenomal in difficult condition with wet ball not like binny who got wkts on a damp pitch. He is doing what bhuvi had reputation of once giving wkts on new ball. Has done consistently well in all 3 series he has played 

 

Now look at his figures in all the games till now 

 

7 matches 14 wkts,

avg of 10, S/r of 10.4

Eco of 5.75

Best of 6/7.....

 

 

 

 

 

Hain? Every bowler wasn't going for runs. Even Khaleel gave just 9 in his first two overs. Neither Sundar and Dube were going for runs.

Which every bowler went for runs apart from Chahal. In fact, it was a great bowling performance as a unit. Chahar just got lucky. His slow pace worked for him. He kept bowling short and wide and they kept giving catching practice.

Khaleel gets all the criticism which is justified,but he didn't bowl badly yesterday

4 overs 27 runs in a 174 chase is not pathetic,yes he looses the plot trying too much

hows it luck....batsman were going for shots he used cutters its deception , isnt slowing pace also a skill ......isnt that what t20 is all about batsman going for runs n bowlers trying to get them out.  It wasnt that he was going for a lot of runs in in process he got some wkts as well. He didnt give even 10 runs when the ball was wet. Forget wkts he shud be given award for his economy only.

Kumar, Chahar and Bumrah is a good lineup. Kumar can be replaced by Shami when situation demands it.

No he doesn't demand a place he will be/should be a fill in only,  Stuart Binny has best figures in odis for India , that does not mean he merits a place.Chahar did very well in this series but I don't think he demands a permanent place in the team.

No doubt great figures, but he is Mohit Sharma kinda mould. Some idiots compare him with pedigree n potential like Khalil, it's laughable. He bowled ok but the batters have away wkts

Its not one game....he has been performing almost every game now . Look at his number.....even before this game he avg 16  which is extraordinary .

Batsman mistake, he gave 7 runs just 7 thats worth in gold enough forget wkts.

 

In t20 wkts will be mostly taken like that, its not test that u have to setup a batsman for overs. A lot is about deception. If its that easy big totals shudnt happen

I don't need to bring any stats, this guy is not good to be as part of first option.He does not have any tangilble skill which will make him last in international cricket.I certainly don't want him to be part of T20 team for next world cup.

 

Ajanta Mendis was fastest to many things. Stats with small sample size don't mean anything.

Gotta say I agree with @putrevus

 

As far as I can see three and only 3 players are guaranteed a spot in the WC. Bumrah, Rohit & Kohli. Even a specialist spinner be it chahal or kuldeep would be on a case by case basis and nothing guaranteed.  There's still a year and 25+ games to go.
