This is not possible as plenty of state governments will fall before completing full term. You can have it one time but later you will have elections at different times

Well that’s why you have a standard 5 year Assembly term to be in line with National elections.

it also saves plenty of money both for the government and for the parties as well

Also just because the leadership at the Centre is stable doesn't mean you have competent leaders at the state level and vice-versa for the congress  where just because you have a doofus family at the forefront doesn't mean the leaders at the state level are idiots. Let us not forget that there are some really capable and competent folk who still work for the congress and other Non-BJP Parties.

If they lose UP or Gujarat then it should be case for panic.

What happens if a Government fall after 1.5 years. President rule in state for next 3.5 years. What if national government falls like we have three elections in 96-2000 time , the states government will also automatically fall?

Unpopular opinion

It means more and more regional parties have just had about enough with the *ups of both Congress and BJP central governments.

They're taking (their state)matters into their own hands. For many of these state parties Congress and BJP will be necessary evils to deal with (in the meantime) but in the long run National parties will find tough to remain relevant. It has already happened to Congress. Every empire has fallen.

Some smarty pants have the memory of a goldrn fish ..

Last month only BJP annihilated both JDS and Congress

Anyway BJP needs to groom good state level leaders ..

They are too much dependent on modi's image

Incorrect thread. BJP won Arunachal pradesh which happened during LS 2019 not the mention Haryana and Karnataka(won with bypolls)

Wins and losses keep happening. There is an issue with the tier 2 leadership of the party.  But the likes of Shah are young. We are seeing a divergance e in choices for LS and Assembly. Which suits the BJP for 2024.

However, the underlying voteshare of the party is intact. BJP gained voteshare in Jharkhand for example as was only 2.5% behind JMM combine.

Come 2024 Rajasthan will flip governments as it always has done and MP and Chhatisgrah will follow. Shah has kept these states as a springboard for 2023.

If you notice Chhatigrah civic polls happening right now, the gap between Congress and BJP has significantly narrowed despite there being a 10% gap in the assembly elections held last year. The entire state leadership has been refreshed

In addition BJP have made a net loss around 120 legislators in the last 2 years. Party will regain them in states like delhi and wb.

anti-incumbency .. bjp were ruling these states forever

still bjp is getting good percent of vote share

Pretty much this ,not all gloomy. BJP is still getting good support.

Chattisgarh and rajasthan BJP had massive anti incumbency, MP was surprisingly good (higher vote share ),we will get these states back next time.

alliance arithmetic and seat distribution has been a big problem though ,really naive to let that happen from BJP top brass

Bihar too far but looks like BJP will sail through with nitish .

Delhi will be a defeat ,would be good if BJP gets even 20 seats

Plenty incorrect analysis. Did ppl vote for JMM/RJD for development? Vikas?

They themselves have a horrible record, and full of corrupts. Yet, they as a group alliance represent several dominate caste groups and thus ppl vote for such local face in state elections...
