Drunk with power abetted by a fangless BCCI. Dada needs to step in to stop this madness.

Dada has done what he could by stressing on ICC trophy and winning overseas. Let's hope he's around till 2021 to strip Kohli off captaincy, and finally, belatedly start split captaincy era in India - LOIs (Rohit/Iyer), tests (Mayank/Vihari/Rahane)

yup i remember that how Cheerleader shastri told in an interview that dhawan is no.1 opener now , after rahul was best batsman in Aus home series where most were struggling , scoring runs in Aus n WI. These insecurities started rahul downfall when he was in form, he got chances when he lost his form not when he was in form.

my worry is same will happen again that dhawan will feast on this attack n rahul will face the sword and the logic wud be left right combination n experience

KL being dropped for Dhawan in SL tour of India 3rd test, and then 1st test against SA, despite a fabulous 2017 was start of his slide. second blow came in mid 2018 when KL stroked a sublime 100 in a T20 against Eng, failed in 1 ODI at no. 4 then was promptly dropped for series decider. His confidence was shaken.

KL is the 2nd all-format batsman we had after Kohli, with a mature TM handling him, he might well have become a star for us by now. Incidentally, all these selectoral shenanigans by Kohli started after Kumbles departure.

Even when he did well in wc he was dropped. He avg 45 in the wc.

In sl also he was given a chance at 4 , kohli said he was to good a batsman to sit and after 3 failure which was against a mystery spinner he was told he is now backup opener. Even our greats struggled against mendia for some time when he was new.

Kl with hia recoed shud have been the 1st name in t20 but he was on bench. Easy to say he lost his form but if we start to look how it started it was TM

Given that Dhawan has an unspectacular T20 record and hasn't even played a single innings yet to justify an argument for a place in the T20 side, it is too early for Kohli to say anything on the topic. KL has to score1-2 centuries this series or else he is a goner.

It's far easier to conclude if we get his average vs spin :p:

DK should be played in this format instead of Iyer and Pandey. There are few like him who can come in and start hitting from the go. He hasn't failed in this format at all, infact one of the better players. Him and Pandya in the lower order can transform this team.

Will need a spectacular IPL for that to happen though.

DK should play but instead of Pant. Iyer deserves a place on his own merit.

Second highest scorer in IPL is hardly unspectacular.

so for ur info rahul is only batsman in the world in that who has 140+ s/r with 40+ avg (among who has played 15+ games)

Avg + s/r boom

Good for him. Did I ever say to drop him for this format?

While I don't have much (euphemism for nothing) to add to the entire Rahul vs Dhawan debate. But I do have an opinion here:

I don't understand Kohli. Why must he spell this out? Just keep your Dhawan vs KL thoughts to yourself. Don't vitiate the dressing room with irresponsible statements. Why does Kohli take it upon himself to express every opinion in public. Even if it is

1) None of his business

2) An area where he has no expertise.

I remember reading some comments from Kohli about limiting tests to 5 cities in India. What the hell even?

Recently, he was asked about the CAA and he I'm glad he kept mum.

I don't rate Kohli as a good Captain/leader at all. Doesn't hold a candle to his predecessor Dhoni who actually won us trophies and would do his talking on the field.
