If India can somehow score 250 (don't see how they would) and there is some movement for the India seamers, NZ will struggle too. But if they get bowled out 75-100 runs short, game over.

Only chance to get to 250 is for both pant and Rahane to play positive after getting eye in for 30 min tomorrow. With just 25 overs till new ball, we need to cross 200 by the time its taken losing only 1 more wicket in process, and then hope one of these two batsmen can play with tail to get us to 250.

If Pant can score a gritty 50 here, the TM will have no excuse for dropping him in the next test.

He scored fifty last year against windies as well.

India has to start well. No concentration lapse upfront. Rahane looked dodgy against Patel even when he was doing nothing with the ball.

I don't mind India getting bowled out cheaply this morning quickly because NZ will face similar conditions and I am sure our pace battery will seem them betting bowled out cheaply too. 

If we play till tea and make another 150 runs, we may feel good to have 250+ runs on board but I am afraid they will play in far easy conditions and can score a huge score like 500. Then it will be uphill battle in second innings and our lineup may falter in second innings giving them an innings defeat or a 9-10 wicket win in fourth innings.
