Gandhi Mahal restaurant owner shows what too much liberalism does to you, it emasculates you like how he was happy to watch his business being burned down for promoting justice.

He has to be overly delusional, because America is not a collectivist society where people care for a common cause. People come here to make money.

It is not misplaced liberalism to be horrified at George Floyd's death.  While we justifiably criticize the looters and arsonists, let's not lose sight of what started it all.  If the DA had charged Chauvin with 2nd degree murder and the 3 others as accomplices, much of this would not have happened.  They dragged their feet.

You are absolutely right.  Those actions are not justifiable.  But in every one of these discussions, let's recognize what started it, and how the aftermath could have been avoided by swift action against the guilty cops.

Changes are coming:

https://reason.com/2020/06/03/here-are-4-policing-reforms-cities-and-states-are-considering-right-now/

---------------------------------------------------------------------

Policing critics, Black Lives Matters activists, and a smattering of elected officials around the country want to pass significant policing reforms following George Floyd's death at the knee of Minneapolis police officer Derek Chauvin. Right now, the biggest proposals are getting the most attention.

Rep. Justin Amash (L-Mich.) is in the middle of crafting a bill that would eliminate qualified immunity, assuming the Supreme Court doesn't do it first. Qualified immunity is the legal doctrine that protects police officers and prosecutors from being sued for violating people's rights.

Other big ideas include limiting the power and influence of police unions, who use collective bargaining not just to negotiate wages and benefits but also to control the disciplinary and appeal processes that make it next to impossible to fire bad cops. Reform advocates also want to build a national registry of police officers fired for misconduct and to repeal state laws that shield police discipline records from public view in order to keep bad cops from moving to new jurisdictions.

Multiple things can be true at the same point. It is not binary, there can be lot of gry areas. Folks can be positive and negative sides:

1. All blacks are not criminals or thugs

2. All conservative whites are not racists

3. All liberals do not condone looting and other criminal activities and support black lives cause at the same time

4. There is a systemic racial profiling in the police and justice system in US, that does not mean some profiling when carried out properly does not work

5. The protests definitely hit a nerve with the youth of all colors, but looting, arson and killing/injuring cops cannot be tolerated. I am sympathetic to the cause, but will not justify violence. Violence does not beget violence, it just diminishes the just cause of the protest

5. Do-lund is an incomptent moron incapable of leadership during crisis as seen with the COVID 19 pandemic and these protests. I have been saything this all along.
