SecondSlip Posted September 8, 2020 Posted September 8, 2020 Who are the wicketkeeper-batsman options for us in Limited Overs Cricket? Right now we have KL Rahul doing the job and he’s done really well with the bat so far in the middle order! All 3 young boys Pant, Samson and Kishan are very talented and gifted players but they are inconsistent AF! I was wondering if we have other options outside these 3 as a back up to KL Rahul? New guy 1
Ankit_sharma03 Posted September 8, 2020 Posted September 8, 2020 Anuj rawat for future 80-90% are inconsistent till 4-5 yrs of international cricket. Neways kishen n pant are very young. More then enough options, if we cant enhance their talent we wont be able to enhance anyones. Time n patience is the key, talent is very much there infact in abundance Vickydev 1
speedheat Posted September 8, 2020 Posted September 8, 2020 Knew it. After Dhoni's retirement we will be diverted back into Ajay ratra- D gupta- Parthiv Patel era. Rasgulla, Soorma_Bhopali and New guy 1 2

Youngsters by definition will be inconsistent. They can only be consistent after a long run beetle 1

There's that Karnataka gloveman who's supposed to be best keeper after Saha, but he's not more than a #7 bat at best. K'taka are trying to help him develop as a batsman by batting him higher, but it is what it is. This is again, perception based, not up to speed on the latest with him. But the fact that he is nowhere to be seen in the IPL indicates his batting limitations, especially white-ball.

As much as I like Sanju "Rohit Sharma v0.5" Samson's batting potential, he can't be considered a viable 'keeper-bat option anymore. Adi_91 1

Adamant Posted September 16, 2020 Posted September 16, 2020 Pant is good enough,no need of other alternatives.I like Samson ,his strokeplay is great but the guy is even more inconsistent than pant in lois and obviously he isn't a test player.Sent from my RMX1992 using Tapatalk Rasgulla 1
Adamant Posted September 16, 2020 Posted September 16, 2020 Knew it. After Dhoni's retirement we will be diverted back into Ajay ratra- D gupta- Parthiv Patel era.Rahul has done quite well and pant has obviously done better than dhoni in tests. So no we didn't divert back to ratra and Dasgupta .Sent from my RMX1992 using Tapatalk Rasgulla 1

New guy Posted September 20, 2020 Posted September 20, 2020 Pretty mature innings from Pant. He will only improve
Stan AF Posted September 21, 2020 Posted September 21, 2020 Dei thambi pant, it wasn't quite good from you but I liked the fact that you dug in for the team. Keep improving, kid. Hope there comes a day where I see you and KL Rahul open for India in limited overs.
