Majestic Posted November 27, 2020 Posted November 27, 2020 Next World Cup is in India. He will rip apart these spinners in India. So, he gets a pass in my opinion.

I was worried about his pulling n hooking due to this stance but now he has learned to keep the ball down while doing so making that shot risk free

And likewise, just because Pandya is scoring runs doesn't mean he has a ticket to Team India, he also must look technically flawless. At number six one doesn't need to be technically flawless they have to see the balk hit the ball ,Dhoni wasn't technically flawless by any means but in his heydays he was regarded as one of of best pullers in limited overs cricket. express bowling 1
maniac Posted November 27, 2020 Posted November 27, 2020 The problem is Pandya and Jadeja type players are a bonus. Dhoni and Yuvraj/Raina at 6-7 meant that there was hope we can pull of miraculous wins even against the odds, not some exciting hitting from them that doesn’t add value. Unless these great knocks add to team wins I don’t take it seriously. Anyone can look like a million bucks on an off day but what shows someone’s character is how they plan, they awareness they show to try and finish games. sandeep 1

The Yuvraj-Raina-Dhoni combo was such a strong backbone. The first two have never been replaced, both as batters and bowlers. The current team is too weak and unbalanced - top heavy with a flaky middle order and non-existent lower order hitters ending with a very long tail. maniac 1

I saw the Australian innings. Finch and Warner showed why the Rohit sharma approach works which you have constantly ridiculed on here. Hope you enjoyed the 80/3 after 10 instead of 45/0. Not blaming Pandya here, nothing he could do but let’s hype him when he gets even a tense 30-40 at a 80 strike rate to get India over the line than a pointless 70’s or 90’s he is hyped for after the game is buried

It works as they have maxwell, stonis in end who can tonk not forget cummins n starc also can , i ridicule when guys like u have the guts to aks pandya to sit out when ur top order bats. Like how maxwell today changed the game or pandya in Ind-Aus Wc game. That cake needs cream on it or else it can be ruined also btw none among warner n finch has a 73 s.r in 1st 10 overs its only minnows n rohit Quote Not blaming Pandya here, nothing he could do but let’s hype him when he gets even a tense 30-40 at a 80 strike rate to get India over the line than a pointless 70’s or 90’s he is hyped for after the game is buried koi na gotten use it every time he performs its either a fluke or expectation of the exact opp, i dnt knw who rates him higher me or you coz ur expectation from a short career is way considering guys like yuvi, rohit , zak struggles for 5-7 yrs and pretty much many careers Btw he already has done that Remeber Kohli- jadhav partnership , they both got out with 65 runs remaning pandya finished the game with a 40 in 37 balls Edited November 27, 2020 by Ankit_sharma03

maniac Posted November 27, 2020 Posted November 27, 2020 (edited) From a situation like 100 odd for 4, Forget if this was vs Australia for a moment. Even if this was vs SL,Pak,Bang,Afg or WI how many of you will be confident that we will win the game chasing even a 275+ score 9 out of times. Eng can pull it off,Aus can pull It off, Nzl can pull it off, hell I will even back Hafeez and Malik to win a middling 280 type target vs SL and Bang at least. Think of that for a second and you will know why people Complain about Jadeja and Pandya at 6 and 7. Edited November 27, 2020 by maniac

More confident than if Rohit, Iyer, etc batted at #6-7 Rohit averages 24 at a SR of 77 w/ 0 6s hit at #6-7 v major teams PS if a team gets itself into 100/4 situations often chasing 275+, it deserves to lose and should change those duds up the order who are responsible for getting it into a 100/4 situation in the first place Edited November 27, 2020 by zen

From 100-4 in last 3 times pandya has performed twice and jadeja once, so ppl is complaining coz they hve certain myths in their head and they dont watch games when ur 100-4 chasing 330+ 90% its over ....even if u play iyer or pandey it wud result same , if total is 350+ 98 % no chance and if its 375 like today forget it .....the game was over with maxwell innings Also Chasing 375 from 100-4 and chasing 275 from 100-4 is chalk n cheese

I can respect that. However let’s say if the target is 275 the stakes change, you have to be calculative and play smart % cricket and switch gears back and forth on situation. That ability I don’t see it in Pandya and Jadeja is a TTF in that department anyways. Thats were I don’t trust these guys even against weaker teams. We have lost before against teams like SL and WI after a top order collapse and barely managed to win against Afghanistan in such situations. @Ankit_sharma03 that goes for you too Edited November 27, 2020 by maniac

Win the game. “They performed” is not an excuse I want they won the game from that situation. I have seen Butler and Stokes do it, Stoinis,Carey and Maxwell win games , Taylor,Neesham,Grandhomme,Santner do the same. As I said even guys like Hafeez and Malik against weaker teams. However I don’t trust Pandya and Jadeja to take you over the line 9 out of 10 times against any decent score leave alone a score like 375. Hope you got it on the 2nd attempt of what I am saying. nevada 1

If u want to be a big team have player who can score against top sides and which is when someone like KL showed how ahead he is of iyer or how pandya avg 60 against Aus Scoring against WI, SL has resulted in frauds like rayudu in past lets not go down same road.

Complain when he plays 100+ matches and still story is same Edited November 27, 2020 by Ankit_sharma03
