This thing can actually work but that All rounder at 7 then has to be Abdul Samad if all goes well.  Jadeja & Samad both can bowl overs between them.  Hardik's bowling will also come along by 2023 WC. 

This year's SMA trophy & IPl will be critical for Samad's growth.  Not many A tours lined up in Covid times.

The Samad hype train picks up speed quickly.  And will lose steam just as fast after a couple of games.

 

Let's just wait and see if the kid is a flash in the pan or actually has what it takes for the highest level.  He hasn't done much even in IPL yet.  Ranji bashing of minnows is a good sign but can't be extrapolated too far.

Tewatiya is good! He has the right attitude. Whatever I have seen of him, he looks good enough for ODI too.

    The era of occasional part times in 50 overs is gone . 

    Problem with Samad will not be his batting , it is the bowling . Needs a lot of ground to cover .

    May be  in T20 , if his hitting ability goes to international level and can bowl 2 overs , there could be an opening .

atleast lets start trying with tewatia , with jadeja in their we need 6th bowler not 5th

I woudl rather put Pandya ahead of jadeja. Jadeja has the habit of screwing up when you put too much trust in him. If at all he is batting well, his topmost position should be 6

D.Chahar can come in place of Saini if he doesnt perform well in ODIs. If we have some batsmen who can bowl, we have a cover for the main bowlers. I'm also ok with Pandya bowling off spin. Mark Waugh bowled medium pace and later switched to off spin. Mind you Rohit and Kohli will be 37 and 35 in the 2023 wc We need to look ahead but BCCI is sleeping

Raina at the age of 34 can still go for 3 years in t20 cricket if he puts his mind to it. If nehra with his glass body can ay at 38. Raina too can. 

 

And not just play he can still do it well in Indian conditions, I bet u. Much better than current pretenders.

ok let him try, his own said he has no seriousness left in him during his playing days only. Let him 1st play domestic or any competitive game only

Nehra was a hard working guy , Raina became to non serious which was apparent with his game n fitness both

Yes. And I respect Nehra a lot for that. Even at that age he was still bowling close to 140s. 

 

Raina got too emotionally attached to msd and his retirement and shot himself in the foot. He could easily play the next t20 WC if he puts his mind to it and has a bumper IPL
