Natarajan for Umesh in test matches??

I am not saying he should not get chances. But for this D/N match, I would lean more towards a guy who is known for swing.

Did you watch Umesh bowling in the warmup game? And Siraj?

 

Both were competent.  Would have been nicer to see Saini in that game instead of young Tyagi who was way out of his league.

Aussies score big daddy hundreds even triple if the third seamer and specialist spinner are ineffective. Not sure how well Ash would do and if he gets injured vch he is likey to then Kuldeep might go for plenty. Imagine Natarajan and Kuldeep in same 11

Both bowled professionally and maintained pressure from their ends ... and Umesh was quite fiery. 

 

But Umesh often flatters to deceive in practice matches.

Kuldeep took a fifer in the last test he played in Australia 

 

And Natarajan is not in the test squad.

The options for the third seamer are useless, adding natarajan will only worsen the already bad situation .

I am pretty sure Saini and Siraj will be toyed with by the aussie batsmen, I'd go with umesh who at least will have the stamina till the EOD ,he's a workhorse!

That was many many years ago w.r.t his form and minus Warner/Smith and now Labuschagne. He has to show the form in domestic and A tours.

He will be trundling in the 120s in tests. Cant expect anything at that pace in Australia. Has to be 135+ atleast to stand a chance
