everytime i watch India play Tests, it's like deja vu, losing toss after toss.

So was checking cricnfo stats, what's India toss win percentage, and it's been like 38% last 4 years - surely Kohli's is star crossed with toss too :antijinx:

But same time credit to him and team for winning so many matches despite losing so many tosses

The proceeding 4 years, it was 50% for India, which is par.

on more serious note, ICC need remove toss out of equation and give away team decision to bat or bowl. keep tosses only for limited overs.

No surprises he has teamed India with perennial chokers SA...  Now SA can't even reach KO's to choke but we have replaced them all due to this piece of sh**.  If I was Ganguly I'll kick out this PR Bollywood cult outta team.  To hell with his blind fans & PR.

We've probably won more tosses against chokers as well, England have won all 6 against us in the last 4 years & Oz also has a good record.

They have 37℅ win percentage while we are marginally better with 38℅.  No wonder he gets along so well with AB..  Choker choker together.

We won toss in CT final 2017... LOL chose to chase...

it's probably better Kohli's loses toss, because opposition captain probably will select better option for India (either bat or bowl) - Kohli will probably mess up his choice if he won toss  just like his selections playing two spinners on green mamba Lord's pitch 2018 or picking Nadeem over another spinner who averages 24 in Tests

Can we ask the opposition captains to choose our team as well? They will definitely do a better job

Can't fault him for losing tosses - unless one wants to invoke concepts of panauti or other astrological phenomena.  Honestly, I was surprised that it was 38%, I had thought it was more like 25.  Maybe it is 25% against good teams and 50% against BD, WI etc.

I remember Dhoni having a similar run of luck at home when he kept losing tosses but India kept rolling over teams at home.

Now overseas obviously it didn’t matter if Dhoni won the toss or not, opposition might as well give him the choice lol.

Guys,I said this before saying it again. If we lose we lose the toss, we will lose the match, as simple as that.

Joe Root/england have a clear action plan that worked in the 1st test and I see it working again.

Have to win the toss for the 2nd test otherwise we're looking at 0-2.

Also in Adelaide, the legendary 36 all out game

I don’t fault him for that as we won a good toss, did most things right until that fateful 3rd morning... but surprisingly I’d look back at 36 all out in a very endearing way as it always reminds me of the great fight back that followed

Even if this match was held in Mars the probability of winning the toss would still be 50 % every time you go out for a toss. So I guess what’s important is the pitch should be prepared such that its a battle of skills not luck.

Make Rohit captain will probably have 60% toss win-rate which is worth 100+ runs to a team

Rohit in tests is in itself as big a joke as lolli as captain..  Rahane also loses tosses but is unbeatable somehow & has massive luck factor as well.

BCCI needs to send some professional thieves to steal Jason Holder's lucky socks or whatever. Force Kohli to wear them and maybe he will win some tosses.
