sage Posted February 27, 2021 Posted February 27, 2021 How does this compare vs Pakistani and Lankan spinners

BD's Sakib could be around 26-27 avg, SR 55-60. Mushtaq around 30 avg, SR 65 Edited February 27, 2021 by zen
Majestic Posted February 28, 2021 Posted February 28, 2021 Cricket is not a game of averages. I will rate Kumble and Ashwin as two best spinners for India. raki05 1
kohli Posted February 28, 2021 Posted February 28, 2021 Can we apply same filter for our indian batsman specially for pujara ( india best batsman from 1990). Laaloo, vijaydude, Real McCoy and 3 others 1 4 1
raki05 Posted February 28, 2021 Posted February 28, 2021 Yes it would be intresting to see where Pujara lands in terms of top 10 Indian batsmen based on overseas. I think for overseas condition more than spinner avg who are second fiddle in attack and some of them not even play all matches.l, it's always good to evaluate your best bowlers and batters (someone whom we trust ) avg. kohli 1
Gollum Posted February 28, 2021 Posted February 28, 2021 (edited) 2011-12 and 2014-15 Aussie pitches were the flattest ones I have ever seen, in any part of the world. Ashwin's stats take a big dent because of that, heck after 2014 Adelaide (turner where we played Karn) even Lyon's stats took a hit in next 3 tests. Humongous scores in those series...Clarke, Ponting, Hussey dealing in 300, 200s, high 150s. Then 3 years later Smith and Kohli getting 4 100s each and 1500 runs in between them....almost everyone was scoring runs for fun. 2018-19 and recent series saw some fine pitches and everyone praised their curators....but man first half of 2010s in Australia featured some of the most boring cricket ever due to those concrete slabs. I think Clarke scored 4 200s at home in a span of 9 months....in one match against peak RSA he scored run a ball 250 and Aus made 490+ in a day's play. Clarke Posted February 28, 2021 Posted February 28, 2021 Look at Sir Jadeja, gets into top 5 bowling avg. That's besides his better than our top order batting & world class fielding. Vijy 1
