Ankit_sharma03 Posted March 16, 2021 Posted March 16, 2021 (edited) X factor bowlers Bumrah Varun. C Nattu Bhuvi (a fully fit)- he is one of the best indian t20 bowler who will take wkts in every phase Rahul Chahar- He bowls the best leg break in country and makes things happen always. Bowls at good pace....tries new things with runup Deepak chahar- many obsessed with speed will disagree.... Fck off....He swings the ball big and thats an X factor with white ball under lights. His death bowling has improved massively.....but last season form n fitness became inconsistent Ravi ashwin- saying it again , dnt make a mistake of missing him ...he can do anything with ball . About other skills- his batting is currently better then chahal, kuldeep, rahul chahar, Kuldeep - not the current one though Grey Area- Saini- May be on very few days ........but he aint archer, rabada, wood . Lacks variation and consistency . But some days he can rattle a few Prasidh- lets see shami- has massively improved in t20 but still a lot of scope left Chahal- i have massive respect for him as LOI bowler specially with what he has done with his limited ability but currently in bad form Good bowlers but not X factor but most have extra utility so 1-2 is fine among but not 3-4 in XI Shardul Sundar Hardik Jaddu Krunal Axar Bhuvi (current form) Kuldeep the current one The reason Many are considering england fav this time is coz of also the X factor in their bowling- Archer n wood . Whereas WI despite batting falls short on bowling big time . To compete with england we need a team of X factor player both in batting n bowling. About fielding - sadly it ll have to take a back seat. If Bigger squads are allowed we shud smartly use samson n manish on field whenever possible rest it aint looking that good Edited March 17, 2021 by Ankit_sharma03
Ankit_sharma03 Posted March 16, 2021 Author Posted March 16, 2021 Will be keenly looking at KC cariappa this IPL , if he has improved like Varun. C...great
SecondSlip Posted March 16, 2021 Posted March 16, 2021 (edited) Where is Nattu!? He is definitely X-Factor! A pace bowling trio of Bhuvi-Bumrah-Nattu can win us both the upcoming T20 world cups Edited March 16, 2021 by SecondSlip raki05 1

IndianRenegade Posted March 16, 2021 Posted March 16, 2021 Most of the x-factor players are missing this series either due to injury/break or not even selected. Not the best way to prepare for the WC.
vvvslaxman Posted March 16, 2021 Posted March 16, 2021 I was going to open a thread on this too. You need a bowler who opposition tries to avoid and try to score off of others. Right now opposition can target virtually any bowler any time. Knuckle ball bowler does his thing for SRH against some IPL teams. But not enough against international sides

zen Posted March 17, 2021 Posted March 17, 2021 (edited) I think it is good to be not using the best bowlers v teams such as Eng ... The best bowlers if fit will all be available for selection for the WC ... If we do not allow the team to test bench strength in bilaterals, it is difficult to develop a pool of quality players Right now Bhuvi & Thakur are being tried/rotated. Next you may see other bowlers get some chances (maybe v a different opposition including the Asia Cup) Bumrah and Natrajan, unless they lose form, appear to be shoe ins. You would need/have a couple of ARs + someone like Sundar. And 1 more specialist bowler to go with Bumrah & Natarajan, whether a pace bowler or a spinner, per conditions. Edited March 17, 2021 by zen
nitinbwj Posted March 17, 2021 Posted March 17, 2021 Not impressed with Bumrah TBH in the past few months. He has taken enough rest. He will give it his all in the useless IPL and when it’s time for International cricket, he will either opt out, get injured or rested. He should have played atleast 2-3 matches in this series. nevada 1

He was getting married, else he would have played.
Adamant Posted March 17, 2021 Posted March 17, 2021 Ashwin and Sundar should be our two Spinners. Bhuvi, nattu and bumrah is a great combination, they don't leak runs and that’s what we need in t20s. Chahal was a good bowler once but now we need Ashwin inn place of him.
Vk1 Posted March 17, 2021 Posted March 17, 2021 agree.. Bumrah, Nattu shoe-in.. Bhuvi/Pandya Varun C / Rahul Chahar Sundar/Jadeja as per conditions
Lone Wolf Posted March 17, 2021 Posted March 17, 2021 Spin department used to be our strength here.. We know Bumrah will be back so Pace attack will improve slightly. But guys like Ashwin used to make SENA sides dance on sluggish pitches.. There was good turn available last night. Ash would pick at least 3 wickets & go for under 30 runs easily. He was that good. Bring back Ashwin & Hand a debut to Rahul Chahar asap
express bowling Posted March 17, 2021 Posted March 17, 2021 A true x-factor pace bowler for T20s must have ---- Pace ---- Accuracy ---- Cracking yorker ---- Good slower ball ---- Good bouncer ---- Smartness to know which ball to use when Only Bumrah qualifies from India. Mosher 1

Which is why we should try to find and develop new white ball bowlers ... especially pacers. The current ones are innocuous. Mosher 1

But he has 42 wickets from 46 T20Is ... not even 1 wicket per match. This is a cause for concern. We need wicket taking bowlers. Mosher 1
