CCP has it's people in the Democratic party who's sole objective is to bitch and moan about Russia. Anyone who understands economics can see that Russia isn't and can never be a threat to the US unlike China. Uncle Sam has been distracted for too long and the recent Alaska humiliation will be the trigger which wakes up the US. rangeelaraja Posted March 22, 2021 Author Posted March 22, 2021 (edited) Michael Pettis teaches economics at Beijing University and knows the Chinese economy in and out. Here is a series of tweets from him. Quote Put another way, in order to grow GDP nominally by 3.5-4.5%, the Chinese economy will have had to create new debt equal to 33-37 percentage points of GDP in 2020. Imagine the staggering amount of debt that China is raking to produce growth. They are just a few years away from an economic disaster. Data cited by Michael Pettis is from China's own central bank PBoC. Edited March 22, 2021 by rangeelaraja Under_Score 1

I do know India is ahead of China i pharmaceuticals but most of the active ingredients come to India from China. Many nations of the Middle East have switched over from Sinovac to the Oxford/Astra Zeneca/SII vaccine. The UAE, I think, totally stopped using the Sinovac. Developing APIs is a slow process. Has a fair bit of R&D involved. Indian government has pounced on this chance. They are offering huge subsidies/tax breaks/ even loans to those who want to set up units to manufacture and formulate the original molecules. Currently, India mainly focuses on using ready made API and converting it into tablets/syrups/injections. 70%+ of our active ingredients are imported. Fault this government for all you want, but this is an area where they have shown foresight and have a plan in mind. diga 1

Or would struggle to. How are we to predict what is to become of China in 30 years? I spent 4 years in China. China is not the invincible future superpower it's made out to be. There are too many faultlines which I won't go into detail. I personally find India to be a lot more stable even though I'm not happy with nearly 20% of the population i.e 1 minority community (Don't get triggered, I'm being honest) and Communists. The CCP is absolutely ruthless and brutal in dealing with the domestic faultlines. Take the recent Galwan clash for example, CCP arrested anybody who questioned the official death figure of 4. For all Indians screaming about fascism of BJP, I'd like to say that on a scale of 1-10, BJP won't get a 2 and CCP would get a 10. This'll work as long as China's economic progress continues as people are willing to let go of rights and freedoms in the hope of a better economic future. There's 2 ways China will go 1) If the West stops relying on China for it's supply chains and manufacturing and tries to financially cripple the country, the faultlines will start showing up more and it'll become difficult for the CCP to control the massive population. 2) On the other hand, if the West doesn't do anything for the next 2-3 decades to stop China, China will be invincible for a couple of centuries atleast. I have seen enough signs to say that the West for the first time is seriously going to go after the CCP. The recent Alaska confrontation between US and China has woken up the US and the Chinese diplomat got a bit carried away in my opinion and it'll cost him. Mariyam 1
