It is unlikely any vaccine is going to be absolute 100% effective in preventing death, maybe further lessons & enhancements in the future will get us there.

Junior doctors in India's Covid crisis: 'We've grown up really fast'

Pankti and her peers have been put on a constantly changing shift pattern that includes periods of seven consecutive days of 12-hour shifts - night or day - on a Covid ward.

"We've been thrown into that field, into the thick of things," she says.

Pankti describes one shift where she had to look after about 60 patients with only two more doctors - also junior - on shift.

They were on a non-critical Covid ward, where patients are considered "stable" - which means fewer doctors get allocated per ward.

"We could feel the shortage of workforce," Pankti says.

She says it can feel "very scary" to work in critical care units when there are so many patients that "there's no way that you can look after all of them

:((

All the while Modi & co are having a blast trying to win elections while kids their grandchildren age are being sacrificed. These people have no shame.

No anecdotal evidence please. Had enough of it already. We don’t know what we don’t know.

This happened to friend of our family.

I don’t doubt it and I am sorry for their loss. But I don’t think we can pass a judgement until all facts are in.

Bhai, it can and will improve from here for most Northern States. Thats how this virus works. Heard immunity is here.. My Prayag is back on its foot allready.

Few indicators a leader or a CM of particular State be judged about will be , his foresightedness and planning is how much medicine, and medical facility they had and how much percentage of their medical was allready immunised when Corona hit and how much state was stretched and when and how much was lockdown introduced for.

It’s like a kid telling his mother that he secured 5 th rank in the class. Mother asking how many students were in the exam ? He says 5.

Actually kid came first among one kid in class. Thats how each state CMs will project. While they will put all other CMs in another class

There are people on social media showing off their oxygen cylinder, in some cases using it too when they are absolutely fit and healthy. While I want them to be prosecuted but know that conviction is impossible without a new retrospective law.

Such people are a burden to Indian society and d served to be shamed by their own community

On Maharashtra model, its kind of funny some folks are going gung ho about it. Actually they are doing disservice to it. You realize that people don't read numbers and don't follow trends.

But, it is a good model for recovering after messing up big time. That they have achieved. Kerala is the model. Assam is the model. Model has to be end to end. Prevention to Cure.
