Another day of flattening. More recoveries than cases.

Punjab has 2.5% death rates. Thats almost 100 % higher than country's average.

Any Punjab da puttar can explain this. Or perhaps we must ask the protesting farmers.

What happened to the Swiss Cheese Model? :hmmm:

Taking off the masks could facilitate exposure to the Indian variant, triggering another wave.

Or you can ask for actual death numbers. Actual death rate in India must be at least 5% at least in second wave. Lack of treatment and oxygen has multiplied the deaths. You need see small towns and villages.

Actual death rates are higher for all states without exception. This is the number they have disclosed. We have go by what we know for comparison.

We too had same issue during first wave. What govmnt later did was retrospectively readjust the data to make a approximation. That nearly doubled the total deat in UK.

What they did was that they took deaths of total number of people in 2020 in covid period and compared it with 2019 for same period. And attributed allmost all the difference to Covid.

If India records monthly deaths it can do the same

older fatter population.

TN will face same issues.

This is why i am not worried about rural area in India. They are younger and crucially less fatter. If there are two variables which define the fatality rate its age and relative weight...(BMI)

Yes that is verdict of my doctor friends working in covid care facilities in Mumbai. Obesity, Smoking and low immunity cases escalate the most. This also explains the scenario in Delhi.

But villages have more smokers, at least in north India that too beedi, hookah, etc.  Lot of people are dying in villages in UP which aren't even tested.

So in US face mask is no longer madatory for vaccinated people. question for those in medical field, is that a sound move ?

My child's opinion:  "I am still wearing mine.  What if people lie that they are vaccinated?!"  I said, don't worry beta, Jimmy Uncle ( @Jimmy Cliff ) is starting a vaccine passport campaign :-).

You seem to be convinced of that theory, people with no comorbidities have died. Some kind of immune problems also have caused deaths. A lot of diabetics have recovered. It all depends how lungs are infected and how other organs are healthier and can operate under lower lung capacity

I mean there are one off cases but as a percentage it won’t be major factor.
