It's going to be a real logistical nightmare for BCCI organising IPL when the country has suddenly entered into a second wave. Let's use this thread to track the covid related issues in the tournament. Praying for the cases to subside soon and for the tournament to go ahead without any glitches

So far we have had just Nitish Rana's case being disclosed (now negative and back with the squad)

Today there are reports of 8 groundsmen at Wankhede testing positive.

The good thing is BCCI has a separate bio-bubble for ground staff with same protocol as for the players and officials. Two of those who tested positive have already returned negative tests. That's encouraging. With people coming into bio-bubbles from outside, in the initiay days, there will be cases.  But gradually things become under control like we saw in last IPL.

I just hope they can keep the team owners and their family away from these bio-bubbles

If they are certain about holding it they should have learned by the recent psl debacle, they made it a picnic  affair where team owners with random guests messed with protocols

Absolutely. These owners and their gang of family and friends will present the biggest challenge.

That should not happen with BCCI. In PSL, the owners were calling the shots. PCB was a puppet.

Paddikal also tested positive. Hope this doesn't end up like PCL.

All this is pre-tournament when most players joining the bubble from outside are still in quarantine having joined only a few days back.

All depends on how strictly BCCI enforces the bubble SoPs once the tournament starts.

Paddikal has been in home quarantine since March 22nd. Hasn't even joined the RCB bubble.

So no cases from inside the bubble.

As per Outlook magazine, 14 staff members of the Four Seasons Hotel in Mumbai have tested positive. This is the hotel were the TV feed production screw is in a bubble for crew members.

Again complete details not yet available whether these are old cases or fresh ones.
