Even Annu Rani the female javelin thrower has a shot if things go her way. Tejinder Singh the shot putter also has a chance if things go his way.He is the current Asian games champ

Atleast we are getting some players in the athletics finals even if we don’t win a medal- much improvement in the last 20/25 years. Although Seema Punia Is trying to destroy her career Kamalpreet W should get the best coaches and facilities and aim for a medal in Paris 2024

absolutely. I am sure that old sardarji is probably her relative/child hood coach, give him a position to oversee her progress but hire a proper trainer/coach and nutrionist. This lady is going to be a legit contender and break some records.

Just to think of it her pb would have won her silver. Question is are these pb s in events with less pressure ?

yup.

imagine if we were like if this batsman does his personal best we will win.

pbs are the exception.

even the best were doing bad throws and busts.

Conditions matter as well - There could have been wind - it could have been drier.. Humid conditions with no wind make it harder to throw.. esp when it's wet.

I really hope we win at least bronze in both Hockeys.

If we do that, this will go down as our best outing in the Olympics even if we end up one medal lesser than London.

man this also shows the disparity between asian/cwg vs olympics

kamalpreet with this performance would be cwg/asian gold medalist.

asian games - badminton, tt, wrestling, boxing are legit

commonwealth - swimming, rowing, hockey (gold)

yeah plus wrestling a few hopefully. it hasnt disappointed us since 2008. also has 4 medals (double bronze).

neeraj chopra maybe but then his case is similar to kamalpreet's today. but progress is being made.

athletics finals. have gone further in archery, rowing. a few boxing qf's. new sports like fencing. might take some time for it to transform into medals but improvement is there (can be seen in youth olympics, asian, cwg etc)

Things aren't going our way this time. Most marginal ones have lost.
