Well there was this talk that Dhongi didn't like pacers to protect his keeping/fingers & all but one pacer ended up trundling under him - Umesh, arguably Shami as well.

Umesh is actually slower now bowling low to mid 130s. He used to be a 140+ bowler but was very inconsistent and could not bowl to a plan. With experience, even though he is more slower now, he is accurate and is able to make most of his talent.

But that doesnt makes up for him always bowling only in SC conditions only even during Kohlis regime. Hence I say, Thala has a say in effing Umesh's career average

none of the pacers looked that good today. they are either injured or down on intensity. can't blame them because of the unrelenting pressure being imposed by our s**t batting. also, I keep wondering why our batsmen and bowlers are so one-dimensional (with 1-2 exceptions). the bowlers cannot bat at all, and batters can't bowl. whereas Eng has several players with multiple strings to their bow - Stokes, Woakes, Curran, Ali, and Overton are all-rounders to varying degrees, Robinson and Wood can bot bat a bit, and Root is a pretty useful bowler.
