Nothing much other than prepare & pray. if they weren't prepared for the obvious threat afridi, will they be prepared for boult? only time will tell.

Kohli seems to have handled him better and he was facing the balls well down the pitch, while both Rahul & Rohit hung back and perished. If they again go with this pair hope they learn from Kohli's approach.

You’re basing it off last season where he was still recovering from covid

This isnt just becoz of Covid, what nonsense covid ki wajah se left arm seam nhin khel sakta :giggle:

Even in IPL 2021 (leg 1)

smashed 88 against Mumbai who had Boult possibly best left arm we in the world alongside afridi

u need to do a lot more then 1-2 inning to wash that stat up

DC,KKR, SRH, RCB none had a left armer to test if he has geniunly improved. 1-2 innings doesnt suggest u have improved ur such big a problem

Dont need to worry too much. Boult is not the same force he was. Also Indian batsmen have got a rude wake up call in the opening games so they will pick up their game like 2003 WC, 2016 T20 WC. Guess they would better the final tournament result too this time.

you’re talking crap

A lot different facing, Shaheen, Boult compared to sakariya, mighty unadkat. Ruturaj struggles against left arm even in domestic cricket, shubman the only opening batsman who is capable enough doing well against Shaheen and Boult's new ball spells, Shaw is a walking wicket.

If we strictly talk about inswinging balls to right handers Boult was the only one who posed some issues for Ruturaj. He got a leading edge.  Other dismissals were pull shot dismissals a problem he has against righties as well. He can easily bail out. But he seems to pull from outside off stump.

Yes he may have problems. But unlike Rahul or Rohit who are stuck on the crease Ruturaj comes forward.  Someone who can atleast negotiate if not dominate.

its just not inswing its the angle which causes him discomfort, infact even arshdeep exposed a bit more chink against short one which then nortje used as well

Everyone not playing seems great , also wanted to mention since i saw ur post of him being super tight in his technique - no he isnt (wait it ll be exposed some day) He is as tentative as rahane

He is a good player but nowhere close to KL or Rohit  or even gill or shaw

Rohit did work out his inswing issue and this was i think after 2-3 yrs where he got out by a leftie with ball coming in, Shaheen was absolutely top class and we gotta give him that. Higher chance even the ones not playing who look nice now wud have struggled to

yes he does , i hve seen a few games in domestic too . Such data was avl which is why teams targetted him even in IPL with it

Shaw is good for LOI but still needs to work out few areas

Gill keep him away from t20

Match winner Rishabh Pant and pressure player Shreyas Iyer should bat at 4 & 5. This is the solution.

Gaekwad or Paddikal or whoever it is won't get a game ahead of Rohit or Rahul so no point mentioning them.

Too much worrying about batting. It would be fine. It's bowling which looks scary and we have no replacements. We have to carry one of Shami and Bhuvi in playing eleven since we have no replacements.

True which shows how piss poor the selection has been.

Our plan didn't work out. Even if we consider Kishan was a sacrificial lamb to protect Rohit, he almost got out very next ball but for Milne's drop.  They lost their wickets to other bowlers in the process.   Bit like how we lost a couple of wickets to Henry in 2019 world cup semi final.

when Ind plays NZ, it doesn't seem to matter who plays - they all collectively choke and play like shrinking violets.
