I am sure there will be a rebuilding phase now.

 

Hope to see some fresh and exciting players instead of dead wood.

Rohit and kohli needs to go in t20s. But superstar culture won't allow it.

Select a pool of 22 players and give them enough chances, rotate them. 

Alao pls pick dynamic players, there should be no place for trundlers, one dimensional, and tuk tukers..

Good thing is there are lots of T20Is even apart from IPL. So we can select a core group and work with them.

 

Only Pant should be retained from current lot and given captaincy.

 

Following can be in next WT20 team if they work on certain areas.

 

1. Jaiswal and Shaw - Work on their bowling. We need a 6th or even 7th bowling option

2. Gaikwad and Gill can be used as floaters at 3-4

3. V Iyer,Samad- Work on middle order power hitting and finishing at 5-6

4. Axar,Sundar- Work on lower order hitting specially against pace at 7. Bowling is fine.

5. Siraj,Umran,Avesh- Work on agressive new ball bowling without worrying about economy. Early wickets are very important as we found.

 

Most importantly work on their fielding. It can save 20 odd runs.

World T20 is meaningful only in world cup. Otherwise nobody takes it seriously.  If you already have a working LOI set up like England has then you are good as you don't have to tinker too much or worry about gelling. or Pakistan who always plays the main side (due to lack of depth) in every bi-laterals. If we are going to be serious about winning world T20 again they must play as a unit for an year before world T20.  But with Kohli our unit is never settled. Always last minute scrambling. During world cup 2019 Rayudu issue, Pandya unavailability,

That fraud Jadeja should be booted out at the first instance. Loli & Rohit should be firmly told you are not needed in this format. 

India should aim at having atleast 6 bowling options while forming a new combination.

This is humiliation that our T20 side could not even make it past the group stages.

All 5 cricketers are going to begin their state of decline very dramatically.

 

Time for BCCI to learn.
