No bowler was taking wickets with new ball in second innings on those pitches, ball was only swinging in first innings. Shaheen was not taking wickets even against minnows with new ball when he bowled second, he was going over 7+ with 0 wickets against minnows Still no words against shami who went for over 10 even against minnows? Looks like you dint see my post earlier in different thread. This thread was dedicated to legend bhuvi so i mentioned him, him and Shami doesn't deserve place in t20 they both should kicked out of LOI format. Bhuvi would only be needed during eng and nz test series where he always goes AWOL. New guy, asterix and speedheat 3
maniac Posted November 9, 2021 Posted November 9, 2021 Losing to Pak can be overlooked. We lost to a competitive team. Happens. Getting knocked out of WT20 can be overlooked. I will buy the 2 bad days argument. Still going back to injured and unreliable Trundler to lead the attack after the above: Unacceptable. Giving up on Indian cricket if that happens asterix and Vilander 2

Shami has been in prime fitness. Bowled admirably well in tests being a strike bowler for India. Was fit throughout the WC 2019 and put in some good performances. He was never injured, just put on the back burner to accommodate Bhuvi. Bhuvi a swing bowler has not been available for tests in Nzl and England where he can be useful. He was not available and injured when we were hunting for scraps among our net bowlers in Australia. He got injured in important matches to leave us hanging. He doesn’t last an entire IPL season when he is the guy who regularly gets retained as a strike bowler. I would back Shami over Bhuvi anyday. One is an Indian ATG. The other is a decent bowler who overstayed his welcome by becoming injury prone, losing his primary skills of swing bowling and unreliable and more importantly even more one dimensional trundler.
QuarantineTormentino Posted November 9, 2021 Posted November 9, 2021 Baffling. Avesh and Siraj missing out for Bhuvi.
QuarantineTormentino Posted November 9, 2021 Posted November 9, 2021 How does Samsung keep getting in with his 11 average and 110 SR Frustrated 1
speedheat Posted November 9, 2021 Posted November 9, 2021 The selection committee is led by Chetan Sharma. As long as that midget exists, nothing will change. Bhuvi shouldn't have been anywhere near our squad after putting on a shitshow in WC, he is finished, can barely touch 125kph nowadays. raki05 1
The Realist Posted November 9, 2021 Posted November 9, 2021 Where are? Robin Uthappa Ishant Sharma Amit Mishra Manish Pandey Ambati Rayudu Umesh Yadav Piyush Chawla Jaydev Unadkat W Saha So many emerging talents overlooked

AuxiliA Posted November 9, 2021 Posted November 9, 2021 BCCI like any other sarkari institution runs primarily on the basis of seniority and sifarish. Merit is secondary. Frustrated and raki05 2
bowl_out Posted November 9, 2021 Posted November 9, 2021 Siraj is a shocking omission.. Other than that, looks a fairly ok side.. You wouldn't expect a new captain out of the blue. Expect Rohit to lead at least until 2022.. Ruturaj should take over after that.

Hope these sources are wrong, cos we deserve better Team India's probable squad for New Zealand T20Is: Rohit Sharma (Captain), Prithvi Shaw, Ruturaj Gaikwad, Suryakumar Yadav, Ishan Kishan, Sanju Samson, Shreyas Iyer, Venkatesh Iyer, Axar Patel, Harshal Patel, Avesh Khan, Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Deepak Chahar, Yuzvendra Chahal, Rahul Chahar So no shaw, Chahar and samson, rahul, siraj and pant are in instead. And only pandaya and kohli are rested in batsmen Edited November 9, 2021 by New guy

Remember Asia Cup, We won odis series here too withou Kohli with mediocre side Rohit has hunger. He comes out as one of guys who will play cricket on one leg if there is a chance. Some players deserve rest spcially bowlers. he is a good skipper. I back this so called third grade bowlers tol win against Kiwis as Venomous Kohli is not around.

If he continues to show the same promise, why not? He has the right temperament and skillset he needs to play international cricket first and prove himself there even before that thought can be brought up. Even out of the box suggestions like Rahane and SDP seem more likely before Ritu. No guarantee his CSK exploits will translate at an international level.
