Pujara and Rahane both need to be replaced now in second test.

Gill has to play in South Africa.  Iyer is superior than both Pujara & Rahane.  Ideally both should play. 

Vihari has been in terrible form in county & now failing on A series as well.

Both Pujara and Rahane has to go I agree. Pujara has been good batsman for us but overseas, you just can't pick him. Over last 2-3 years, the 4-5 fifties he has got have also come mostly on Day 5 wicket which tells us how poor he has been vs pace.

 

I would like to see Gill at 3 and ofcourse, Vihari can be tried at 5. Iyer should play some A games vs SENA teams then try him. Till then I will have Washington also in the mix.

I'd take all three - Vihari at 3, Gill at 4, Iyer at 5.

 

Vihari has earned himself a proper run of 8-10 tests which he has never got despite being with the team since 2017-18

The BCCI should be embarrassed if they dont have Gill and Iyer permanently in this team.

 

I dont care, change is needed. If youre going to carry Kohli, then it must be the end of Pujara and Rahane.

Lets not forget, KL and Hitman are going to be in this team too.

Pointless to pair Gill and Iyer with Vihari though. Gill is, or rather should be, a lock post his AUS performances regardless of the blip he has had. Iyer is a novice for now although he looks an upgrade over Rahane&Pujara who are both a total dud at this point.

 

The real millstone around the team's collective neck is Kohli who's bringing this team down not only through incompetence with bat but also because he's an impatient, dumb and selfish wannabe. Imagine being a wannabe even when you are India's cricket captain.

 

The team should cut the three of them ASAP.

You like it because its logical, makes sense and gives India the ability to combat any pitch and any conditions.

Its why the BCCI will never select it.

Based on current form and ability , Rahane should be dropped. 

 

He was never good in India even in his best years.

Very good team XI, except that I would not trust KLR in top order or even in test squad. there's a reason why his test avg is so mediocre. he scores prettily but never consistently enough. however, given lack of batting, he should still be in the mix, but perhaps at 4.
