Will be interesting to see how these two new franchises built their teams. As for the 3 pre auction picks - KL and Rashid are favorites to go to Lucknow from what I recall reading somewhere maybe on this forum. SDP could head to A’bad (have been suggesting this since a long time as he needs to get out of Mumbai Indians and maybe lead a side). Shastri is or could be A’bad coach iirc. Let’s see if anything changes in future. AMD is owned by CVC capital which is likely to be more $$$ focused with intentions to make a profit by selling the franchise in a few years so CVC could do the minimum for it (though if they act smartly it could be ok).

If UP were a country, it would be the 5th populous country in the world behind China, Rest of India, USA, and Indonesia, and above Pakistan, which would get pushed down to #6. ... KLR is probably negotiating his salary during the SA test series ... seemed quite distracted after the second test

The 2nd, 11 cr. The third, 7 (uncapped 4 cr). That is if a team would pick 3 players which most would aim for. If a franchise pays too much over that it is left with a relatively compromised budget, hindering bids at the auction. If a player is getting too greedy, franchise should see it as a red flag ($$$ a priority so maybe a mercenary mindset) and move on Edited January 13, 2022 by zen
