Washington is also Tuk Tuk and not even a 10 over bowler in ODIs.

Instead of playing Washington at 7 or 8, you better play Axar as he is a better bowler and can swing 15-20 runs at that position.

2 trundlers not a problem as long as the 2 fast bowlers and spinners take enough wickets. These trundlers if they take one or two wickets each, and swing lower down the batting order, their job is done.

That is the problem. Axar and Deepak Chahar would have been fine at 7 and 8. Also with these two, you can think of playing only five bowlers and have Surya at 6. But if Washington is playing at 7, he is not even a 10 over bowler and also not a batsman for that spot.

This leaves them with two options- pick both Thakur and Chahar at 7 and 8 or pick Chahar at 7, pick Kulcha and two genuine pacers - Siraj and Prasidh.

But the problem arises when the trundler ARs push out the specialist quick bowlers from the team.

We played 3 trundlers and 0 quicks in the 2nd and 3rd T20Is vs NZ

That so accurate its not funny any more, its really a sad state of Indian cricket.

Whats worse is that those imbeciles in the top 4 will go at under a run a ball until the part time bowlers come in and then accelerate and give the  impression they bat at a run a ball. This is the biggest travesty in Indian batting lineup.

We then expect SKY and Pant to score 100 runs off 5 overs.

I don't want to see Rohit, Dhawan, Kohli in our LOi side anymore.

Hitman is there, no changing that. However, it at least when he accelerates he can go faster than any other Indian in the country.

No one hits a 6 as cleanly as he does.

Dhawan and Kohli must fail vs WI for them to be dropped.

Ideally only one of them should be playing the 2023 WC and that should now be Rohit due to him being captain (if he can keep his form and fitness for the next 20 months).

Playing a 36 year old Dhawan in ODIs is nothing sort of a disaster. I totally expect him and Kohli to lose form a few months before the WC like with Rayudu and Jadhav in the run up to the 2019 WC and with DK in the team.

he has lost that ability to accelerate, I think, around the same time his test career took off.

It remains a mystery that almost every time our cricketers keep getting infected inside the Bio Bubble.  But opposition players never get infected.  On SL tour, none of the Lankan players tested positive.    Same thing here as well.   None of Windies players hv tested positive.
