Raina was someone who could plan innings, Dubey can only hit. Their ideal batting position is not the same.

CSK always pick mediocre/unknown players who punch wayyy above their weight and win them tournaments, don’t expect it to be any different this time. One thing you can count on is if Dube plays the first match he will be persisted with for a while regardless of his performance coz of CSK’s policy of backing players

Yup, he can only hit deliveries within his arc. Has no footwork, and is a limited batsman. But you never know, maybe Dhoni knows how to get more mileage out of him.

Dube is a hack version of Yuvraj. Give him in slot he would hit it for six towards mid wickets. Otherwise he is a nothing cricketer. Has played some match losing knocks too by scoring 20 of 20 type knock.

Moeen is Raina's replacement.

that also has to be in his slot , he doesnt move around much. Make him hit against the turn to longer side which is where power player generally are ahead of others but he falls short

Yes..

Starting XI is pretty clear.

 

They will play a similar team to the IPL 2021 Final, except Conway for Faf and couple of bowlers changed
