Chakdephatte Posted February 16, 2022 Posted February 16, 2022 (edited) As if it was not obvious already. Edited February 16, 2022 by Chakdephatte
ShoonyaSifar Posted February 16, 2022 Posted February 16, 2022 Nice competition between Pant, KL, Iyer and Pandya. The one who could win an IPL trophy this season could potentially be our next captain. beetle 1
vvvslaxman Posted February 16, 2022 Posted February 16, 2022 Will be better than KKD. He looked okay with Delhi. Not sure why they changed.
Adamant Posted February 16, 2022 Posted February 16, 2022 Haha lol. Teams buy this guy at such a high price just to make him captain. Very limited batsman. Kkr is a bad team too, so all this captaincy charade will also be over this time. SandeepMotta, rahulrulezz and Chakdephatte 1 2
Adamant Posted February 16, 2022 Posted February 16, 2022 How unfair is life. The likes of Babar Azam have more talent in their fingernail than this guy yet they don't earn anywhere close to IYer.

rahulrulezz Posted February 16, 2022 Posted February 16, 2022 I know this opinion will not be taken kindly but he is a not a t20 player. Maybe, a long format player but not a t20 player. Takes too long to hit boundaries and can only hit spinners. Scores those safe soft runs and would take you to 150 which is not here or there. Plus whole IPL when Rishabh was the captain, Shreyas face was screaming that he should be the captain. What I am worried about is Shreyas taking Surya’s spot in Indian for the worldcup. bowl_out Posted February 16, 2022 Posted February 16, 2022 No surprises there.. Who will be captain of RCB? Faf / Maxwell / DK / Kohli again?
zen Posted February 16, 2022 Posted February 16, 2022 I am neutral on KKR so does not matter who captains it
Majestic Posted February 16, 2022 Posted February 16, 2022 KKR has got a very poor team and will go into IPL 2022 as a dummy team. Their pace attack is extremely poor, Russell and Narine are way past their time heroes and guys like Venky and Chakraborty are into their second years where they will be tested more. The only positive with the KKR is that historically they have done well even with dull and average teams.
maniac Posted February 16, 2022 Posted February 16, 2022 One of the most boring teams got even more boring.

They did well due to those 2 Wi player but now who will save them, last yr best that happened to them was that pat cummmins didnt come for 2nd leg and lockie became an automatic choice . Lockie with varun-narine made middle overs tough for opposition but now pat cummins comes back n brings back the problem of an overseas player who isnt that good in the format Their batting is also plagued with batsman having same issues. One high pace bowler n a leggie against them their batting will in trouble

He is like Manish Pandey in that regard.

One thing I will give Iyer over Pandey that once he knows he has taken too much time, he will try to change gears and show some urgency. Pandeyji only bats one way : either starts of like a million $ or look like a deer in headlight. The latter being 9/10 times.

One high pace bowler n a leggie against them their batting will in trouble Batting is still similar as it was last year with difference being that Tripathi will be replaced by Shreyas, Gill by Rahane and Morgan who flopped last year completely by Billings. Actually, they have a young player Abhishek Tomar who can open too but they will mostly start with Rahane as he gets to open here. Hales also can be used and keep with Sheldon Jackson. Spin attack is pretty good with Varun, Narine and Nabi in there. The real challenge remains their death overs bowling, from last year they don't have Lockie and Prasidh either. Mavi leaks runs and so does Cummins. Less said about the third pacer the better. Russell is their death overs bowler.
