Pak are missing out on wins vs Aus. On a fair Asian pitch they could have dominated the Aussies

they are the home team, so they are the ones preparing the pitch, so I have no idea who is being "unfair" to greenbros... besides, this could still be a "fair" asian pitch if it deteriorates on days 4 and 5 as most asian pitches do.

Don't think so...  Australia has won the toss..  On a UAE type wicket Australia might have won the test match easily.

It makes ,e appreciate what a great job Irfan pathan and Balaji did during that ane do series on the same docile tracks. India dropped so many catches. These guys weren't bothered. Kept coming back. :hatsoff:

seems like another dull pitch. Pak have lot of players who feast on these kind of flat roads. It will not be easy for Oz to run through them twice

has pakistan ever won after an away team scores 500 plus in first innings? away team from sena i mean.usually no team gets to even that high of a score. 400 sure. 500 is a bit much i think even for pakistan in their conditions. pakistan can bat and score say 700. thats their best now. have to score real fast like karun did vs england.

yes bad mistake. should have prepared a pitch that aids turn a little. this only has some random variable bounce here and there.

A very intriguing, attritional test series. Australia were forced to bowl themselves dead in  the last match and are now returning tthe favour in this one. Hopefully, the pitch starts breaking up more and by the 2and session tomorrow and Cummins, Starc and Swepson keep batting as long as they can.

At Rawalpindi, weather was much cooler and wicket ( or road ) did not deteriorate throughout the test. At Karachi, sun is stronger and weather is warmer , wicket will take turn on 3rd and 4th day . Pakistan might lose , they don't have a bad team but Babar still carrying  on Misba's legacy of ultra-defensive strategy and can;t win .

it seems to me that this is fair asian pitch unlike what a previous poster suggested. if Pak score 600+ and bowl Oz cheaply, they can win. however, IMO, the most likely outcome is a draw.

Balochistan captain Yasir Shah gets a fiver in pakistan odi cup yesterday, is Pakistan missing him?

Maybe. I would say Abbas is also missed. If the goal is to just contain runs, he's the perfect guy, even better than Hasan

It was just starting to get interesting, why declare now :hitler:

Cummins should bat above starc, he could have easily got 60-70 if he came yesterday

Aus should have tried to score 600.

400 is a huge mental block score to avoid follow on.

Aus could have bowled 30 mins before lunch at full pace in a tricky session for batsmen and then return back hard again after lunch.

Australia keeps backing leg spinners (even though Swepson looks decent) here we have much better option but we will stick with finger spinners who turn game in 2 days at home.
