Still not convinced by this innings by Parag, he was dropped once and edged a lot

 

RR is playing him as a finisher which isn’t his forte. He’s the type of player who can get in and then accelerate line crazy. Maybe Samsung can switch batting positions with him

you really think Samson has a temperament for a finisher?

Parag is a batsman so he has to prove his worth someday and he did it today when it mattered. So hats off. But playing four tailenders in your XI is a huge limitation. This is Parag's second fifty and been a while before he got first one. So, had he failed, things would have been pretty poor for RR.

Yes, if a team can score around 150 without its superstars, it speaks of its quality. Parag proved himself today. And with the confidence of this knock, he'll only get better in his role.

you don't need bowlers who can bat in t20 cricket. the 20 overs of bowling is what decides who wins or loses. Parag has a brief in this batting line up and he fulfilled it.
